1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |

2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |

Stocks |
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits |
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate. |
Bounce back loan scheme |
The Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS) enables smaller businesses to access finance more quickly during the coronavirus outbreak. The scheme helps small and medium-sized businesses to borrow between £2,000 and up to 25% of their turnover. The maximum loan available was £50,000. The government guarantees 100% of the loan and there are no fees or interest to pay for the first 12 months. After 12 months the interest rate will be 2.5% a year. |
Hire purchase and leasing commitments |
Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts are capitalised in the balance sheet. Those held under hire purchase contracts are depreciated over their estimated useful lives. |
The interest element of these obligations is charged to profit or loss over the relevant period. The capital element of the future payments is treated as a liability. |

9. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
Included within debtors is an amount of £46,290 (2022: creditor of £4,080) due to the company from P S Neville, director. During the year advances of £98,792 and repayments of £49,551 were made in respect of this loan. Interest of £1,129 (2022: £Nil) has been charged on this balance during the year at 2.5%. The loan was repaid in full on 31st March 2024. |
