The CIC develops and runs the now-u app, website and other supporting technology. The now-u app provides users with access to learning materials, actions and campaigns designed to help people learn more about important social and environmental issues and to facilitate charitable action. During the financial year 2022-23, the now-u app ran multiple campaigns including campaigns to support people affected by the cost of living crisis and mental health challenges. The work of the CIC benefited our multiple stakeholder groups in various ways, including: - Providing volunteering opportunities for more than 40 people across the UK, helping people to develop their skills and in several cases, to move into new careers- Helping people across the UK improve their knowledge about important social and environmental issues, and to engage in charitable action of various forms such as volunteering, donating to charities and signing petitions- Helping charities to get more support for their work - Through our support of these charities, indirectly helping people impacted by social and environmental issues
Our key stakeholder groups are the people who use our app, and the charities we support, as well as our volunteers. In the financial year 2022-23, we ran internal user research with our volunteers to collect feedback, particularly focusing on how we could improve their experience with the app and make improvements that would increase their learning and participation in charitable actions & campaigns. As a result of this feedback, we finalised redesigning elements of the app which we hope will enhance our ability to benefit the community and all our stakeholders. We also remain in regular contact with charities that we support so that we can best support them, and respond to their requests where possible, such as featuring their campaigns on our app.
