Company activities and impact

PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACTIn the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. North Somerset Training has engaged digitally excluded residents and those in low-income, and isolation with a variety of FREE activities such get to know your gadget for helping with digital queries, Warm Spaces, when anyone can come and have a hot drink, a chat with our volunteers and most importantly keep warm. We also offer aromatherapy, arts and crafts, mythology, art therapy, English, Maths, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Customer Services, IT, and Jewellery making amongst many other activities/courses/workshops around North Somerset, focused primarily on deprived areas (mainly Weston super Mare).We offer FREE SIM cards through the databank, giving anyone struggling to pay for their data, 6 months of 40 GB of data, unlimited calls, and texts for 6 months. We help with forms online (for house searching, to benefits)We offer aftercare for those in recovery and AA and NA meetings.Our team of volunteers are people who have used the hub and are now fully engaged with the community helping others.Our hub has made a huge difference in our community and has changed many lives.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have posted many online consultations, and also paper-based ones so our community can decide what activities/courses they would like. After consultation, we did funding applications and received small pockets of money to deliver what the residents asked.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount of emoluments paid to or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £17,200.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for the director’s loss of office, which are required to be disclosed.
