College Street provides technical services to theatre projects, including working alongside other CICs, such as Creative Mouthpiece CIC, and charities such as Nottingham Arts Theatre, where College Street regularly provides technicians to shows and maintains some of the equipment in the building. In addition to this, College Street works alongside local schools and colleges (e.g. Bluecoat Academy, Oak Field School etc.) to provide work experience opportunities to young people interested in the technical side of the theatre industry. College Street are passionate about bringing equity to the theatre industry, especially given that positions in said industry can sometimes favour more privileged individuals, and are continually reviewing our offerings and internal processes to ensure that our work has the greatest possible positive impact on marginalised communities and individuals.
