Company activities and impact

Inner Bliss Wellbeing provided yoga, meditation, mindfulness and movementsessions for hard to reach, vulnerable members of the community, including survivors of domestic and honour based abuse, ex offenders, refugees and people seeking asylum, the LGBTQ+ community and vulnerable children.-Over the course of the year we will have delivered 336 yoga, mindfulness, meditation and therapeutic creative sessions for 105 individuals.-We developed our offering so that day retreats could be made available for women to attend, giving them a space to really drop into the practice and make new friends. -The sessions have offered a safe space for the individuals to process trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms and tools to support them in moving forward with their lives in a healthy and empowered state of mind and body.. We have harvested a community of yoga practitioners in Birkenhead, with women cultivating friendships and connections with others who have similar lived experiences.-We are now working with more charities including Asylum link, Savera (supporters of victims who have experienced honour based abuse) and Sahir house who support the LGBTQ+ refugee and people seeking asylum communities in Liverpool. -Our relationships with Tommorow’s Women, The Open Door charity, Greenhouse Project and other community groups still continue to flourish and thrive, with these charities asking for more wellness services such as sound healing and day retreats to be made available for their members as they are benefitting from them so much.-Staff have completed more training courses such as mental health first aid and have undergone personal therapy to develop a better understanding of their own past, so that they can support and understand others on a deeper level,-Signposting and one on one support is always available for individuals who arestruggling with their mental health or in crisis-We continue to have conversations with our community, asking what they need, would like more of and how we can change/ enhance our current offerings. -We have offered freelance jobs to 3 yoga teachers, 1 sound bath facilitator and one graphic designer and artist over the course of the year.
