The company provides bespoke services to young people entrenched in criminal gangs and drug markets known as county lines. We continued developing our service provision during the financial year 2022-2023. Our service provision benefited the community in the following waysReducing offending behaviour of young people engaging with our services provisionBreaking the cycle of offending behaviour through exiting young people from criminal gangs reducing their risk from violent crime and entrenchment in illegal drug marketsSupporting young people to make a positive contribution to the community in which they liveSupporting young people making a positive transition from childhood to adulthoodSupporting parents and families effected by young people’s involvement in criminal gangs and illegal drug marketsOffering information and advice to the wider community with respect to the signs and symptoms of young people who are at risk from being groomed by criminal gangs and entrenched in illegal drug marketsRaising awareness of the complex issues in relation to young people and vulnerable young being groomed, trafficked by organised criminal gangs linked to illegal drug marketsDeveloping bespoke training for front line workers, parents and families and the wider community to raise awareness of the issues with respect too young people being groomed, exploited and trafficked by criminal gangs linked to violent crime and illegal drug markets
The company’s stakeholders are the directors / trustees and executive committee represented by the demographics of the local and have lived within the local community for several years and have developed our business model based on their personal experiences.Through consultation within the local community, we identified current gaps in existing service provision with respect to young people at risk from being groomed and exploited by criminal gangs linked to violent crime and illegal drug markets. We have continued to consult with the local community and with young people whom access or come in contact with our services through questionnaires, verbal feedback to support us in improving our services and developing new services that continue to directly meet the complex needs of young people and the wider community in which they live. We have also consulted with other services both statutory and voluntary sector as part of our ongoing process of shaping our services and responses with respect to young people whom are groomed, exploited and trafficked by criminal gangs linked to violent crime and illegal drug marketsWe have recently reviewed our existing structures within the community interest company and as part of out governance review we have replaces and added new trustees / directors following the review of our organisational governance linked to our executive committee and our operational steering group
