Principal activities of the company

Accounting policiesBasis of measurement and preparationThese financial statcnoents have bccn prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section I A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102Turnover policyTurnover is recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the Company and the tumover can be reliably measured. Tumover is measured as the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. The following criteria must also be met before turnover is recognised: Rendering of servicesTurnover from a contract to provide services is recognised in the period in which the services are provided in accordance with the stage of completion of the contract when all of the following conditions are satisfied: The amount of turnover can be measured reliably; It is probable that the Company will receive the consideration due under the contract; The stage of completion of the contract at the end of the reporting period can be measured reliably; and the costs incurred and the costs to complete the contract can be measured reliably.Other accounting policiesGRANTS PolicyGrants are accounted under the accruals model as permitted by FRS 102. Grant of 48709 consist two restricted grants given fof multiple years therefore the deferred element of the grant is included in Creditors are deferred income.

Company activities and impact

Wellies On CIC is a working farm and Care Farm delivering therapeutic and educational sessions to people who are socially disenfranchised by involving them as Co Farmers in day to day farming andhorticultural activities The centre uses a wide range of activities and tools to support Co Farmers to gain confidence and develop self esteem Wellies On promotes social inclusion for the public benefit byinvolving and rehabilitating people through real and meaningful activityBenefits to the community include but are not limited toCo Farmers can gain qualifications accreditation gateway qualifications therefore increasing employment prospectsFor younger Co Farmers we can offer a way to gain confidence build resilience and eventually integrate back into a more mainstream educational environment Wellies On can offer a route into further learning such as Otley college and Writtle College by building confidence and self esteem enabling some of societies more vulnerable groups realisetheir potential This in turn can increase future employment prospectsFor some we can offer a way into volunteering within their local community in a range of settings Co farmers can spend time with us in a safe and supportive environment learning new skills building confidence discovering what they are capable of and understanding what they have to offer to the wider communityWe offer the opportunity to build friendships and potentially widen natural support networks therefore lessening the need for other more formal interventions In addition to this our organisation is involved in a number of partnerships and joint projects initiativesWe are passionate about working with and for our local community We host regular volunteer days We have created a small community allotment part of which is used by the local primary schoolWe have built up a solid network of support within our community including local businesses and otheralternative providers We offer a limited number of free visits for dementia groups schools and young carersDue to governmental cuts in funding available to our commissioners particularly within education settings for purchasing of our services we have experienced a reduction in sales for this financial yearAs an organisation we have had to take this into consideration and create new programmes to adjust to available funding streams
