  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when goods have been delivered to customers such that risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to them. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

Company activities and impact

During this financial year work in schools has returned to almost exclusively Face to Faceinteractions through regular visits to settings. The focus of the work continues to be onoffering support to families, children, and young people with additional needs. This input hasalso contributed to improvement in aspects of the school system link to special educationalneeds provision this building capacity within the school.We have also continued to offer supervision to psychologists working with families andschools in order to provide them with the support to continue to offer intervention. This offerhas been extended to a wider group of colleagues over the period in question.One of the directors continues to act as a school governor on the governing body of anAlternative Provision for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental HealthNeeds. This has allowed Connect Psychology CIC to share expertise and experience acrossthe company with this setting. Another director is working in partnership with an organisationoffering ASD assessments to children and young people.This year one of the directors has also been asked to deliver training on Equality, Diversityand Inclusion on 2 different courses at the Anna Freud Centre.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are children, young people, families and members of the local communityincluding EP colleagues working in schools and settings. We gather data on impact using asystem entitled Target, Monitoring, Evaluation (TME) whereby agreed outcomes for childrenand young people are given baseline, expected, and achieved ratings on review. To date thefeedback following either supervision or therapeutic intervention has been positive, and weare beginning to look at the themes that emerge and modify our offer accordingly.
