Company activities and impact

People Street Collaborative C.I.C is a coalition of local communities working together to tackle inequali-ties. This is accomplished by working alongside local people to design and deliver innovations that pro-mote agency and subsidiarity. We are not service providers but bridges to services. We care about creating opportunities for people to become active agents in their own lives rather than passive recipi-ents of public services. We are global-majority and female led, representative of the communities we serve. We are experienced practitioners in community development, community health research, digital inclu-sion, user research, health inequalities and facilitation. We have extensive understanding and knowledge of local health systems and the factors impacting on health inequalities. We bring this rich experience to the project, sharing our knowledge generously with participants and community part-ners. Research In the second year of operation, we delivered several community research projects. These projects supports inclusive design in practice so that the people using digital services are influencing and shaping the services they access.Digital Inclusion: Home Office commissioned research on the barriers to digital engagementUser research and Usability Testing: Home Office recruitment to support product and service design.Health Research: Inclusive recruitment for NHSE for usability testing of primary care platformsHomelessness Research: recruitment of excluded communities to take part in research for Newham council. We also became partners of an Oxford University and RAND Europe Collaboration, bringing digital health inequalities thinking into rapid evaluations of remote monitoring tools. This is a 3 year collaboration. We sit on the programme UAG, the BP PPI group and BP Advisory Group. Creative HealthFor the past 2 years we have been supporting our partners The Red Earth Collective on their trailblazer Artist Development Programme. We ran a consultation program and developed training for Global Majority Artists. The training supports the capacity of multidisciplinary artists to run creative sessions in mental health settings. The training was delivered between October 2023-March 2024. Community DevelopmentWe continue to run a programme of community development outreach sessions designed to share information, resources and health literacy. This ongoing activity underpins our research practice.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are local communities engaging and taking part in our work. The stakeholders share their views through a myriad of ways including participating in surveys, feedback sessions and focus groups. They tell us how they want to be engaged, how often, the kinds of activities they want to participate, and they all self-select onto available programmes.
