Company activities and impact

We are a community help hub and Food Bank. We sell second hand goods very reasonably priced to raise funds to buy food for the community. Anyone who is struggling can come to us, unreferred and not needing vouchers, and request food and toiletries, baby milk, baby food and nappies and pet food.We began at the beginning of lockdown 1, taking in donations and giving them for free, children were growing and struggling for clothes as most stores were closed. We were handing out food parcels to those who had lost their jobs, victims of domestic violence who had been moved as a matter of urgency and all they had were the clothes they were wearing. As time went on, we decided to continue as Christmas was coming and families in the community were in need. We ran a campaign and raised funds to provide a full christmas dinner to cook at home, crackers and toys.I used my home while homeschooling as a pick up point for new bedding, towels and cleaning products for those who had their homes flooded in 2021.We also run craft sessions to help those who deal with mental health challenges and sell second hand craft supplies at a very low price so they are accessible for everyone. The impact Craft in Mind has had on the community has been positive throughout the pandemic and continues to provide vital support to families and individuals. What we do has been a lifeline for a lot of people who would have otherwise gone without.
