The Company's work has concentrated its effort on providing micro grants todisadvantaged women in rural Jamaica. We have given grants to enable women tosupport their families by purchasing sewing machines, providing goods for womenwho are higglers to get a greater return on their investments by scaling up theirmicro businesses. e.g. providing bulk cold drinks, portable coolers and laundryproducts. We also provided sewing machines to enable two seamstresses to makeschool uniforms and train young women in their local area. We provided a grant toenable a young entrepreneur to provide IT services as well. We've further encouraged local women to provide meals for housebound elders bysupplying the goods for them to do so.
We have acted on the feedback provided the recipient of the grants, henceproviding bulk material and goods rather than cash to local women. We havelearned that because of dire needs some women borrowed from the money given tothem to grow their business and were unable to replace the sums borrowed. Hencein those cases the business did not progress.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
