EnV activities aim to benefit the communities of Coventry and the surrounding areas with the ideal of ‘Providing quality events, training and volunteers In the Community, By the Community, For the Community’ enabling people to do more for their city by volunteering in support of local events and ensuring that any surplus from services remains in the city and to sustain the community volunteer programmes we manage. The events that we have managed and the events that we have supported by recruiting, training, deploying, and managing our local volunteers have added value to events and continue to develop the great sense of belonging, community and pride drawn from a wide range of people who live, work, study, and volunteer in the area. EnV have provided local event management support to key events including a growing festival of sporting activity that is free for the community to be involved in ‘Coventry Sports Fest’ and all have involved our team of volunteers in support of those events that has provided them with a variety of opportunities and experiences.EnV is also working towards different projects for the upcoming year.In 2023 we have continued to grow new volunteer led task groups with our volunteers taking on roles within the following working groups:-Press & PR-Fundraising-Induction & Training-Welcome Walk/City Greeters-Database Administration
We are committed to being a key part of the community and so have committed to involving key stakeholders to engage with us via an advisory group that meets at least twice each calendar year. The stakeholders involved are deliberately sought to provide a representative snapshot of the area we are engaged in and the partners we work with including a local councillor who oversees the development for social enterprise, youth council members, higher education, local authority and community volunteering representatives. We also invite representatives from our volunteers to the advisory group and as a primary stakeholder to our activity we continually seek feedback from our volunteers and from all of the organisations we work with.We had aimed to and have continued to bring together a group with key representatives who can lead, shape and develop both the company and the future and direction of events and volunteering in the area.We are also engaged in the local community, social enterprise and volunteering networks.
