The company provides benefit to and exists to serve the local community.Optimum Sports Academy delivers projects/programmes that focus on the areas of Participation, Education, Mental and Physical Health. All Optimum Sports Academy projects/programmes are designed to benefit the residents of London. The company’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways:Providing a sport and media project for youth affected by the Grenfell tragedy Delivering sporting sessions for the residents of London with a focus on north Kensington, many of whom score 2 on the scale of deprivation. Delivering fitness and wellbeing sessions for the residents of north Kensington, many of whom score 2 on the scale of deprivation. Provided competitive football in a community league.Provided mental health and mentoring football program
The company’s stakeholders are the residents of London and the local youth that directly access the services. The directors of the company have lived in London for all of their lives and worked in sport development and the youth sector for over a decade and used their experiences and the experience of talking to other residents to develop the structure of the business.We ask all participants and participants’ guardians that access our programmes and sessions to fill in a questionnaire and feedback forms about their experience accessing our programmes, other programmes and what they would like for future programmes. This has helped us to understand the community and the participant’s needs and what we can do to meet them more effectively.
