Company activities and impact

We have provided a wide range of complementary therapies and health and wellbeingservices for many of our local community. We have provided all of the above at anaffordable rate ensuring all who can benefit have access to our services. All serviceusers are asked to pay only what they can reasonably afford.Our service users include the general public, informal caregivers, able bodied anddisabled, many voluntary organisations and groups and local businesses.Many of our local residents have received much needed treatment for both physicaland mental conditions and illness’s enabling them to live healthier and happier lives.This in turn has allowed them to play a greater part in their community, be moresocially included and to look after themselves and their families in a more informativeand pro-active manner.We have also provided workshops and events for many of our voluntary andcommunity groups spreading our method of improving the health and wellbeing tomany of our local residents.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are the residents of Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas.We evaluate via questionnaire and survey all we do and consult verbally with ourservice users.We have regular meetings with our volunteers and working partners to discuss how thefindings from the feedback can be implemented into our work practices.Feedback on the services provided and the benefits gained has been very positive.Last year we moved into larger premises and this allows us to create a bettercommunity feel and more welcoming environment for all our service users. Our newpremises are above a health food and supplement retail company, which allows furtheroptions for our service users.

Directors' remuneration

Directors' fees were charged in the accounts for £10,302 for the year ended 31.10.23(2022 - £10,742).There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remunerationof directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to bedisclosed.
