The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 October 2023

Principal activities of the company

The Company carries out activities that benefit the communities of Ashbourne and the surrounding area through the protection andenhancement of their social, environmental and economic wellbeing. In particular the Company has continued to develop theweekly market on Shrovetide Walk, establishing a sustainable enterprise for the benefit of the community and economy of the town.The company has also been developing projects on Shrovetide Walk and the Henmore Walk to enhance the visual aspect of theirtown, the environmental setting and health of the river and visitor experience and is grateful to Longcliffe Quarries, AshbourneTown Council and Trent River Trust for their support in enabling this work.At the year end the Company held funds of £4,000 received from Ashbourne Town Council solely to be invested in the ShrovetideWalk and Henmore Walk projects and £2,871 received from Trent River Trust solely to be invested in the Henmore Walk project.
