Your Revolution CIC offers high quality courses and workshops for youth and young adults in London, alongside opportunities focused around creativity for the wider community. Our innovative provision is highly specialised and tailored to develop and hone specific learning and skills. Your Revolution CIC was incorporated on the 25th of October 2021, its first project being delivered in 2022. During the financial year of 2022 - 2023, Your Revolution CIC has benefited participants and the local community in the following ways: - Empowerment for under-represented groups within the music industry due to gender, ethnicity and economic status. i.e. those who are disproportionally disadvantaged. - Access to industry standard equipment and services without charge and free materials such as Sample Packs and use of equipment such as professional recording devices, mixing & mastering, - Provision of high-quality inclusive learning embedded through design and methodology into each workshops’ delivery. This provided kinesthetic based learning, enabling neuro diverse students to fully engage and benefit. - Opportunities to showcase work produced locally and gain critical feedback. - Provision of freelance employment opportunities for creatives, musicians and educators - Opportunities to work and collaborate with local business within the community, such as commissioning the use of their music studio facilities.- A supportive network to grow and develop artistry; and constructive pathways towards success.- Community based research and development for future benefit.Your Revolution CIC has directly impacted its beneficiaries positively through educative outreach, skills uplift and tangible outcomes.
The company stakeholders are: freelance professionals hired for their specific expertise and services; course participants drawn from London’s creative community; the local facilities providing studio hire space and refreshments, the wider community who we are responsive to and inclusive of. The directors live, have been educated and work within the local community, developing Your Revolution CIC's concept and provision informed by their experience, specialised knowledge and through engagement with their target audience. Formal and informal course feedback has been gathered from all the participants and tutor. This has been noted and incorporated to reflect in our delivery of future courses, sessions and events.
