In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. The community has benefitted from the MKCA classes as members have been able to participate in high-quality cheerleading and dance training. Our classes promote participation in sport, social skills, as well as health and wellbeing. We currently have approximately 150 athletes from age 4 to 26 and accept members of all ages. MKCA provide children and young adults the opportunity to participate in physical structured engagement, with excellent opportunities to develop leadership skills. We also provide opportunities for participation in National and International competitions, which helps to boost athletes confidence. We have also been able to offer cheerleading and dance training within schools, as part of the school P.E. curriculum or as an after-school club. This benefits the community as it improves children’s’ fitness, whilst also creating healthy lifestyle habits. We have also offered an inclusive environment for disabled athletes to participate in sports. Our staff have regular CPD training, to support all of our athletes and aid participation irrespective of their disability. Many organisations want to have their own equipment and facilities, but do not have the time, resource or space available. MKCA are able to provide equipment and facilities that can be hired by local teams and community groups. This is a practical and cost effect solution to their problems, which we are able to offer to the community.
