Company activities and impact

The company runs a series of activities offering community free access to opportunities in writing, illustration and storytelling.During this year we have offered a series of free events and one-to-one mentoring opportunities, supporting marginalised individuals to write, develop and print their own children’s stories. We hosted events such as “Caterpillar Collective”, a network for those in County Durham interested in learning to write and illustrate for children. We were supporting the development of ‘Forget ME Not’, working with a range of young adults with chronic illness to plan a film making project.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are predominantly residents of Bishop Auckland, West Auckand and the surrounding area. We carried out a series of surveys and also a needs assessment of participants.
