BreatheThe Parent Peer Support Group, Breathe, met at the Satellite Centre in Greenfield once a month. Interactive sessions included an introduction to journaling, mindfulness, reiki and more. Support for the group has come from funding from the Co-op. The group also continued to share supportive messages on Facebook, Instagram and twitter. Wellbeing Garden. Plans are to make the garden interesting and interactive for all ages especially young people and to include them in its development. Funding was sought from Action Together and clearing and planting commenced. The group meets once a week at the garden, weather permitting, and once a month at the Centre for an informal but interactive discussion group. The garden progressed with extra supportive funding from the Co-op and Hartley Botanic of Greenfield. The biggest event in the calendar was Well Be Fest which was a gathering of professionals and services offering support and inspiration covering mental health. Jude brought together many professionals as speakers and offering more intimate discussions and advice to the public. Speakers included CAHMS, an internet Wellbeing influencer and Mike Palmer of 3 Dads Walking fame. A local samba band that encourages drumming for wellbeing, played and jammed with visitors. A cafe was available for refreshments. The event brought together at least 200 people all involved in the Saddleworth area. Feedback was excellent most asking for another event shortly. Saddleworth LifeSaddleworth Life continued to share community news. It continued to offer weather reports and articles about local charity causes and activities of the CI on the website. The Facebook page continued to share local news and information about charity events in the area. The Saddleworth Photography GroupThe Photography Group met monthly at the Satellite Centre with varying topics each time including a live model, a speaker and software demonstrations with interaction. The group continued to grow online.
