Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:
Included in total reserves is a reserve ring-fenced for the BID renewal process which takes place every 4 years. For the purposes of these accounts the BID Renewal Reserve is called the Fair Value Reserve and stood at £33,000 at the beginning of the year. The BID renewal was successful and the reserve has been reduced to zero. The actual costs incurred during the year for the BID renewal process was £32,829.
A transfer is made each year from the surplus on the income and expenditure account to the BID renewal reserve. This is done to ensure sufficient funds are available to facilitate the BID renewal process at the end of the current BID term.
In the year to 29 February 2024 £11,000 was paid towards the BID renewal process.
