Under exceptional circumstances, support may be provided on a one-to-one basis and/or online. |
Activity report for 2023 |
We have come through another year and I feel we are in a good position and going stronger than ever. |
This year we have delivered 3 breaks February was Cadhay House and then Bala Brook in July with a further break booked at Cadhay House in October our final break for 2023. |
We have plans to look at additional venues to give more scope to offer more breaks. This is a work in process with all trustees helping to find locations. |
The trustees continue to meet regularly for a zoom meetings, we established a regular bimonthly meeting. 2 new trustees were appointed in October and the hunt for a new trustee is still in full swing with a talent for marketing and social media. |
Our fundraising activities have been amazing this year, we had a coffee morning early April followed by a fabulous Opera Evening mid April and then end of April CLSW were invited to Alice’s wedding to help with the bar and she kindly donated all the taking from the evening. |
Chudleigh Fete took place end of June with lots of local support |
Pig racing took place in July which was a fantastic family event. |
Saturday 15 July the face paints came out for the Chudleigh Carnival and again the following day for Chudfest fundraiser. We had our last event Saturday 18 November the Festive Fundraiser. Which was a huge success with our new Patron visiting to help with the prize raffle. |
It has been an action packed year not only for on the ground Fundraising but also for applying for grants which our trustee Gary Evans has put a huge amount of effort into and doing really well. |
We all look forward to 2024 kicking the year off in January with a strategy meeting and get together with the facilitators. |
