    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company plus grants received, net of Value Added Tax (where VAT registered) and trade discounts.

The West Country Women Awards CIC is a community interest company dedicated torecognising and celebrating the achievements of women in the West Country region ofEngland. Their primary activities revolve around:Core ActivitiesAward Ceremony: The highlight of our work is the annual awards ceremony, whichhonours women across various industries for their outstanding contributions.Nominations and Judging: The organisation oversees the nomination process,selecting Category Sponsors who judge each Category to evaluate nominees andselect winners.Publicity and Promotion: They engage in extensive public relations and marketingefforts to raise awareness of the awards and inspire nominations.Networking Events: They organise networking events to connect women in theregion, fostering collaboration and support.Mentorship , Training and Support Programs: The CIC aims to provide mentorshipand support to award winners and nominees, helping them develop their careers andleadership skills.The mission of the West Country Women Awards is to celebrate and honour theachievements of women in the West Country, recognising their outstanding contributions tovarious fields and their positive impact on the community. Through this platform, we aim toempower, inspire, and support women, fostering a culture of inclusivity and equality whilehighlighting their remarkable accomplishments.More than 1300 women were nominated for a West Country Women Award in the year ending May2024. 16 of them were winners and were each offered the opportunity to further their businesses byvisiting Westminster and meeting MPs to help their individual endeavours.
