Company activities and impact

Hartlepool Sport has continued with several projects, working alongside statutory and community partners over the past year. The High Tunstall College, Intro to Mechanics alongside Starfish has continued to give young people practical experience of working with cars. Hartlepool Sport delivered an ASB Boxing & Martial Arts intervention alongside Hartlepool Wadokai Karate Club, working with dozens of young people on a successful pilot program, and another to support START recovery service delivering Football. Hartlepool Sport delivered another successful Annual Sports Awards. FREE CPD, including Sport Wellbeing, First Aid and Safeguarding continue to be delivered for clubs. Hartlepool Sport also helped to recruit statutory partners to attend the 'Flippin Pain' national project. Hartlepool Sport has continued working alongside Sported and Hartlepower on the 'Connected Communities' project around inclusion and several Young People's Voice pilot programs, culminating in the Hartlepool Primary School Conference. Hartlepool Sport has been a key facilitator of 'Join The Movement', which is a new partnership for physical activity, movement and health. The partnership brings together VCSE and Statutory partners including the NHS, Primary Care, Tees Valley Sport Active Partnership, Hartlepool Borough Council and various VCSE partners. JTM has also created a 'Walk into Wellness' network, bringing all the town's walk providers together regularly.Hartlepool Sport have also recruited a member of staff (PFC Trust) to coordinate an 'Activities on Prescription' pilot alongside the Primary Care Networks, initially for patients with COPD. Hartlepool Sport continues to work alongside the School Games Organiser, adding capacity and a discretionary budget for promote club/school links and CPD of teachers. Hartlepool Sport took on a key role alongside The PFC Trust at Hartlepool's hosting of the Tall Ships Races, coordinating and funding the community zone amongst other parts of the prestigious event. Hartlepool Sport also once again took on a leading role in 'U Change Lives', The PFC Trust's annual group fundraising campaign.

Consultation with stakeholders

Clubs, coaches, athletes, parents and supporters continue to be engaged on a regular basis. COPD patients were consulted with as part of the 'activities on prescription' project.Young People have been actively consulted with around YP Voice projects throughout the year.
