    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.

Company activities and impact

Introduction: Warehouse Unit 7 CIC officially began its journey on 16th August 2022, driven by a mission to revitalise our community through updating the skatepark. This report highlights how we are successfully turning around a failing business into a thriving community space, detailing our activities and achievements from incorporation to 31st August 2023.We took over a business that was failing to remain viable, we conducted a thorough assessment of the existing facilities and developed a strategic plan to transform the space. Peter Booth, our Director, previously employed at the skatepark, brought valuable insights into how the facility needed to be run, which guided our transformation efforts. We spent August - November 2022 updating, painting and ensuring the park was fit for purpose. Focused on safety improvements, aesthetic enhancements, and functional upgrades to make the skatepark welcoming and secure. We opened to the public on 4th November 2022.
