The company works with community groups and in community settings to create stories with a particular emphasis on local heritage, the local environment and wellbeing. We started the business in September 2021. During our financial year 2022 - 2023, our activities have benefited the community in the following ways:We worked with Wintertide festival to provide walk about story telling performances for their festival in 2022 which works to being the arts to people who may not normally interact with arts. We worked with Seacapes (Durham County Council) to arrange beach cleans and work in half term with disadvantaged children to create art works with reclaimed materials to produce art for Wintertide 2023. We worked with a group of residents and businesses at Hartlepool Headland to collect stories of local heritage. We used these stories to create a series of characters as apart of “Hartlepool Welcomes” as part of tall ships. this was a collaborative project with Gobbledegook Theatre and BloomInArt. We have been working alongside our new directors Amanda Jayne White and Rachael Armstrong, to find more community links to work with. We are planning work with Hartlepool folk Festival as well as Heritage Lottery Fund applications. We have now set up a web domain and hope to soon have a website.
