Accounting policies |

Basis of preparation |
|
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard). The company was incorporated on 26 July 2019. |

Turnover |
|
The company has no trading or investment activities of its own. It simply acts as the ultimate holding company for Montpelier Properties Limited and Montpelier Portfolio Limited which are 100% subsidiaries. |

Investments |
|
Investments in subsidiaries are measured at cost less any accumulated impairment losses. There are no changes in fair value of the investments. See note 3. |
|

Debtors |
|
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. |

Creditors |
|
Short term creditors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price). |

Taxation |
|
No current tax liability is recognised for current period. Deferred tax is not recognised in respect of all timing differences between the recognition of income and expenses in the financial statements and their inclusion in tax assessments. |
