Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover comprises contributions received from the directors towards the cost of services to and the purchase of the freehold property. |
Tangible fixed assets |
No depreciation is provided on freehold property as it is the policy of the company to maintain the property in such a condition by means of repairs and renovation that no diminution in value occurs. Accordingly the directors consider that the lives of these assets are so long and residual values so high that their depreciation is insignificant. Additionally it is the opinion of the directors that the market value of the property exceeds the cost as shown in the accounts. |
