Company activities and impact

Kidzbox CIC - Boxing Programme: October 2022 - November 2023Programme Duration:October 2022 - November 2023Kidzbox CIC successfully delivered a comprehensive boxing programme aimed at children, young people and adults from deprived backgrounds. The programme offered participants the opportunity to learn the 12 disciplines of boxing, with a focus on improving physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Through consistent engagement, participants worked toward earning their Boxing Cadet Award, with various levels achieved based on their progress.Session Structure: Frequency: 4 weekly sessions Target Group: Children, young people and adults from low-income households Focus: Mastery of the 12 boxing disciplinesParticipation and Demographics: Total Participants: 69 children and young people Demographic Breakdown: Girls (12-17 years old): 12 participants Boys (8-17 years old): 28 participants Seniors Group (18-36 years old): 28 participantsOutcomes: Skill Development: Participants learned the fundamentals and advanced techniques in boxing. Certification: Each participant received a certificate of participation, recognizing their efforts and dedication. Awards: Based on attendance and commitment, participants earned awards, highlighting their progress in the programme.Impact:The programme successfully provided access to boxing for individuals from low-income households, fostering physical fitness, mental resilience, and emotional wellbeing. Participants gained valuable skills, confidence, and a sense of achievement, with many progressing through various levels of the Boxing Cadet Award.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders' are: the participants, the parents of younger participants, the local authority RBKC including the Youth Service, the Youth Offending team, and Social Services, funders, suppliers, volunteers and staff.We consult with participants through regular discussions about their progress and what they would like to be in the programme. We have discussions with parents about young peoples behaviour and motivation. Discussions take place with social services and the youth offending team about the progress being made by young people referred to us. Consultations with funders takes place thorough discussions around funding applications and monitoring returns.Discussions take place with staff and volunteers at the end of training sessions.
