2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Going concern |
The company had net liabilities and net current liabilities at the end of the financial year. The directors have considered the working capital needs of the company for a period of twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements, taking into account the uncertainties created by the recent coronavirus pandemic and its associated lockdowns and other global economic factors. They have concluded that the company will be able to generate sufficient working capital to support its current level of operations as long as the related party providing working capital funding does not withdraw its existing level of support and continues to provide additional finance as requested. |
These financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis, on the understanding that the related party has agreed to continue to financially support the company during this uncertain period, by not withdrawing its funding to the detriment of other unsecured creditors and by providing further working capital as required by the company in order to deliver against its latest business plan. |
Turnover |
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |
Revenue is recognised at the point of invoicing. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the statement of financial position date. |

Associated by some common directors and shareholders |
The related party charged fees to the company of £3,600 (2022: £10,683) on an arm's length basis during the year and provides working capital funding to the company. At the year-end the company owed £125,000 (2022: £100,000) to Willow Construction (Midlands) Ltd. No terms of repayment or interest have been agreed and the debt is unsecured. |
