Company activities and impact

Company Activities & Impact W.I.L.D. CIC is a Community Interest Company which exists to benefit the community. Woodland Inspired Learning & Development C.I.C runs Forest School sessions and Community Projects for children and adults of all ages, aiming to foster community connections with nature in their local urban woodlands. W.I.L.D. has benefitted the local community in the following ways over the past year: Forest School W.I.L.D. continues to provide an out of school childcare provision based in the urban city woodland of Linn Park Glasgow. Comprising of home education, afterschool and weekend forest school groups for children aged 4.5-11 years. W.I.L.D also provides holiday camp all day childcare provision 3 days per week during school holidays. W.I.L.D is a Forest School Association recognised Forest School provider. Community Projects W.I.L.D. continues to extend its community reach working in various city woodland locations around Greater Glasgow. Creating projects that aim to connect communities positively with their local green spaces. W.I.L.D. has worked with children and adults, community groups, housing associations, charities, primary, & secondary schools. This year W.I.L.D. provided funded weekly adult health & wellbeing ‘Nature Natter’ sessions and monthly community ‘Trees and Teas’ walks. W.I.L.D. also started CPD projects with educators to support teachers to take learning outdoors. W.I.L.D. continues to work to support the aims of the Friends of Linn Park and GCC Countryside Ranger team, working in partnership to organise volunteering days of tree planting & litter picking. Staffing W.I.L.D. provides part time employment for 6 people. W.I.L.D. provided longer term volunteering experiences for 3 people and welcomed visits from organisations and individuals wishing to gain knowledge & experience in forest school & outdoor play.

Consultation with stakeholders

Consultation with Stakeholders W.I.L.D. continues to grow its community and updates stakeholders regularly on social media feeds and also issues the W.I.L.D. quarterly newsletter. Sessions are advertised on social media, in local community magazines and on woodland notice boards. We request feedback from organisations, participants and families that work with us and attend local community meetings to plan future events.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £30,188. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
