Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 June 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Going Concern The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The company's ongoing activities are dependent upon the continued support of the director who has undertaken to provide such support for the foreseeable future. If the going concern basis were not appropriate, adjustments would have to be made to reduce the value of assets to their recoverable amount, to provide for any further liabilities that may arise and to reclassify fixed assets as current assets and long term liabilities as current liabilities.

Company activities and impact

The company runs activities to inspire, train and coach members of the armed forces community to ‘stand up and serve again’ in public life. The organisation opened for business in March 2019 and is the only organisation of this kind in the UK. It is not aligned to a political party, nor is it a political party nor a lobby group. the organisation’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: -Webinars. Monthly free workshops were provided for members of the armed forces community and were delivered on Zoom. Around 10 attend each session. -The webinars have helped cohere a community. -Individual mentoring. CampaignForce has supplied free 1:1 mentoring services to a number of veterans and reservists, helping them with interviews and applications. -In this reporting period, CampaignForce has 1500 followers on Twitter/X 400 on Facebook and 250 on Instagram -Good media coverage has been established with an article in Soldier Magazine about our Podcast -The Veterans In Politics Podcast is a key part of our inspire pillar producing over 60 episodes to date in this reporting year and with over 10k downloads.

Consultation with stakeholders

The CICs stakeholders are its armed forces community members, who are regularly updated via an e-newsletter that has in the region of 400 subscribers. Political Parties have also been engaged with, though no formal link established. Fringe events were held at both Labour and Conservative Party Conferences in 2022 in order to reach out to armed forces communities within these parties with senior MPs and local government councillors in attendance. The Conference events were sponsored by a corporate organisation SalesForce who have a reputation for supporting the armed forces community. CampaignForce has a voluntary team of 5 trainers, 4 of which are veterans, who provide advice for free. At the end of the reporting period, a Voluntary Advisory Board of 12 was formed from open competition to assist with corporate governance, advisory and strategic development. They are comprised 50/50 male/female and come from across the armed forces community.
