Directors' report period ended
The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 30 November 2023
Additional information
The financial statements for the year show a reported loss. This apparent loss is primarily due to the timing and accounting treatment of grants and funding received. In accordance with accounting standards, grants and funding are recognized as income when the related conditions are met, which may not align perfectly with the period in which the associated expenditures occur.

“Community spirit, food and conversation" is how one visitor described Food for Thought (FFTH)’s twice weekly food surplus project running rain or shine throughout the year. Helping 140 people each week, our pop-up stall runs at Heathfield Recreation Ground, a deprived ward sandwiched between the London Boroughs of Richmond and Hounslow; within walking distance of local primary and secondary schools and the Edgar Road Council Estate. As a not-for-profit set up by a local resident during the pandemic, FFTH now has a dedicated team of volunteers offering a safe welcoming space for those struggling to feed their families to collect free food and be signposted into local support e.g. benefits advice. We also help them make new friends and reduce food waste!
