Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Revenue recognition |
Revenue is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for the commercial and non commercial bookings taken for Stockbridge Town Hall. |
Revenue is recognised in the financial statements once the booking has taken place. Bookings taken for future accounting periods are carried forward and released into the appropriate accounting period . |
Taxation |
The company covenants all of its profits before tax to Stockbridge Town Hall Charitable Incorporated Organisation to enable it to undertake its charitable aims. |
Debtors |
Debtors do not carry any interest and are stated at their nominal value. Appropriate allowances for estimated irrecoverable amounts are recognised in the Profit and Loss account when there is objective evidence that the asset is impaired. |
Cash and cash equivalents |
These comprise cash at bank and other short-term highly liquid bank deposits. |
