Exhibitions We done 3 Exhibitions of over 51 community members work, one in Covent Garden, Birmingham and Bath. It gave community members experience of other people being able to see their work on a wider scale of different kinds of people and also within the photography industry from Photography magazine companies and photography companies that they can potentially work with. Most community members are now published in magazines because of the exhibitions, being able to add published photographer to their media CV allows them to apply for higher level jobs. It was able to give them experience, preparing their images, working with press and writing artist statements, curating an exhibition. Workshops & Meet ups In our exhibitions we ran workshops and panel discussions. Workshops ran were studio workshops, led by pro photographers from the community, which we are able to fund them teaching our community members studio lighting. This gives our members the confidence to light their clients in the studios, making them confident enough to charge their clients, knowing they can deliver a service. We had workshops running from third party photography companies that taught our community members other ways in which they could financially make money from photography in stock imaging. We also had inspirational meet ups like vision board parties, these are arts and craft workshops to help community members set goals for the year bother personally and photography. Panel discussions so that our community members can hear the stories of other photographers or people who work in the photography industry, providing them with insight and motivation. What was more amazing is and the most biggest impact is our London Exhibition won ‘Reader’s Choice Exhibition Of The Year’ Our cumminity members are able to add this to their accolade, it also gave them the confidence about their work especially for most of the photographers who exhibited this was their first experience of being apart of an exhibition. Interviews Working with photography companies who financially pay the community to highlight and bring awareness the community to find more UK Black Female Photographers. Community members who are involved with the video were supported financially. Doing awareness videos also it helps more companies see what we do for the community to provide financial support to put on Workshops and meet ups or provide opportunities that can help the community build their portfolio and experience. Exhibition in Bath, Community members are able to be apart of an exhibition that is touring, each community member who work was exhibited receiver an artist Fee. Social Gatherings, bringing the community together with their families and friends and the photography companies that have supported the community. Celebrate what they have been able to achieve in the year, highlighted and awarded community members for efforts and accomplishments that they have done.
