Balance sheet statements

Company activities and impact

Our mission is to reduce health inequalities and improve the quality of life for adults living in the most marginalised communities by providing them with the tools to make healthier choices for physical, emotional, and mental well-being, through providing culturally appropriate support and educating target groups and their families on diet and lifestyle-based solutions towards sustainable living We delivered numerous diabetes, heart health, arts in health, fitness, well-being sessions, focus groups and and were commissioned by the National Lottery and Birmingham City Council Improved diet – Improved understanding of nutrition and the culturally appropriate foods to eat for each respective health condition, guidance on shopping (on a budget) reading food labels, meal planning and recipes;Improved activity and exercise levels – increased activity levels will support the beneficiaries and their families;Improved mental health – building of new friendships and support. The communities we serve have benefited through a better understanding of diet for general health and for specific conditions.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are the National Lottery and Birmingham City Council. We are obliged to provide a detailed evaluation with feedback testimonials, photos and send our financial records including regular progress update meetings to ensure that we are on track. This is then monitored by the funder who will confirm closure after they have completed their due diligence
