COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

GOOD BOTANICS CIC

Company Number: 13068433 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2023

Company activities and impact

Good Botanics is dedicated to creating environmentally and socially conscious plant-based products that nourish and support the body. Our work focuses on promoting the traditional practice of herbal medicine and sustainable agriculture. We cultivate our medicinal herbs in Bethnal Green, London, UK, and Brancoli, Lucca, Italy, ensuring that our methods align with ecological principles and respect for the land. As advocates of traditional medicine and urban growing spaces, we engage with the community through our medicinal garden in Bethnal Green, where we offer land care workshops. The Mobile Apothecary, a street-based dispensary in London, expands our outreach by bringing community health initiatives directly to the people. At Good Botanics, we believe in the power of nature to heal and the importance of preserving and sharing these time-honoured practices. We reinvest our profits and provide in-kind intellectual property to support the Mobile Apothecary project, a growing network of volunteers in herbalism, horticulture, and the arts. Since April 2019, we have been bringing people together to collectively learn about medicinal plants and create herbal medicines for distribution to community members facing barriers to health, food, and shelter. The Mobile Apothecary supports local communities by providing high-quality, homegrown, and communally-made herbal remedies.
