Company activities and impact

The company provides mentoring for young people within Derby City. The mentoring programme delivers sessions focussing on emotional and social intelligence skills for the service users when they have been released from custody. The company is also working on delivering a mentoring programme for marginalised young people, focusing on business and entrepreneurship. The programme will focus on engaging with young people who have become disengaged with education and are at risk on exclusion.

Consultation with stakeholders

The Business and Entrepreneurship Monitoring Programme are school and local cornerstone businesses, Derby based young people (Service Users). Engagement with Derby schools to identify and enter marginalised and disengaging young people into the programme. Support from local businesses who will provide work experience for young people who are completing the programme. Feedback questionnaires have been used to tailor the programme, ensuring the voice of young people Is heard and their needs are met.
