During the year in question the International Blind Tennis Association: Sanctioned the first blind and visually impaired (BVI) tennis event at the 2023 IBSA World Games and collaborated with the Lawn Tennis Association to organise the inaugural IBSA BVI tennis tournament in Birmingham, UK. Sanctioned the first European BVI tennis Championships in Poland and the World Championships in Italy in 2024. Promoted BVI tennis worldwide and provided support to the creation of the Latin America Blind Tennis Association Provided international training and certification in BVI tennis Classification and Officiating . Executive Committee members contributed to major international events and tennis conferences to raise awareness of BVI tennis.
The IBTA Executive Committee has - sought feedback from players, coaches and other interested individuals, - established links with the Country Representatives for its member, - explored links with the International Blind Sports Association and collaborated with them on the tennis element of the World Games in 2023.
