Company activities and impact

Parallel Lives Programme is an all-encompassing, early intervention, holistic, grassroots initiative, supporting parents (men and women) and their families experiencing domestic abuse, parental alienation and/parental conflict during their relationship or post separation. We are particularly suitable for those working with statutory Services. Since April 23, Parallel Lives provided: Men’s in person weekly support groups in Luton and later Watford following high demand 17-week Virtual tailored programme for men and women’s separately four times per week In person/virtual 1:1 programmes and support to address barriers to non-attendance - delivered in 9 languages Therapeutic support for children of parents on Building bridges in schools We provide Individual male/female workers specialising in the following: Substance misuse / gambling/ sex addictions Mediation/negotiation McKenzie friend service Legal support/ court reports Partner support Outcomes: 89 adult referrals from local authority, court, Cafcass, self, schools, probation, NHS, housing 66 adults completed or completing our 17-week programme 7 estranged parents previously without child contact are now seeing their children regularly 2 parents supported with a move to refuge – with continued support 11 children supported in schools, as victims of domestic abuse 40 hours of counselling for adults

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s directors continue to develop the service directly from feedback from clients and professionals. All clients are invited to complete written and verbal feedback each session. Our research has enabled us to identify the need for whole family provision, where domestic abuse, parental alienation and/or parental conflict is continued post separation. This has allowed us to build a programme based on client expectations and lived experience

Wages and salaries in the accounts. There were no transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed
