The directors of the company have elected not to include a copy of the profit and loss account within the financial statements.true
For the financial year ended 30 November 2023 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 with respect to accounting records and the preparation of financial statements.
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year in question in accordance with section 476.
These financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

Accounting policies
Company information
Brickyard Lane Developments Limited is a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales. The registered office is Market House, 10 Market Walk, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB10 1JZ.
1.1
Reporting period
These accounts are prepared for a long period 1st June 2021 to 30th November 2022, up to the date of cessation of trading. The comparative amounts presented in the financial statements (including the related notes) are therefore, not entirely comparable.
1.2
Accounting convention
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland” (“FRS 102”) and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The disclosure requirements of section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the company. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.
1.3
Going concern
The company ceased actively trading as at 30 November 2022, and it is the intention of management for the company to be liquidated in the near future. Accordingly, the company is not considered to be a going concern, however no adjustment is considered necessary to the company's accounts as a result of this.
1.4
Stocks
Work in progress is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value.
Cost is calculated using the first-in, first-out method and includes all purchase, transport and handling costs in bringing stocks to their present location and condition.
1.5
Cash and cash equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand, deposits held at call with banks, other short-term liquid investments with original maturities of three months or less, and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current liabilities.
1.6
Financial instruments
The company only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently measured at their settlement value. The company has no bank loans or other more complex financial instruments that require measurement at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.

Parent company
On 3 February 2022, the company became a subsidiary of Ford Homes Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales, and which has the same registered office. No consolidated accounts are prepared by the parent company on the basis that the group headed by Ford Homes Limited is a small group, and therefore exempt from the requirements to prepare consolidated accounts.
Prior to this date, Brickyard Lane Developments Limited had no single controlling party.
