Balance sheet statements

Company activities and impact

We engaged 50 young people across Birmingham, with the majority deriving from the most disadvantaged wards in the region. Young people have benefited have been engaged in over 50 hours of physical activities to support them with their health and wellbeing. We have delivered over 20 workshops from healthy eating, basketball and debating to podcasting, Acting, film production and mindfulness. We have worked with 4 freelance and sessional workers and provided volunteering opportunities to individuals including 4 young people. We have supported over 20 families with information, advice and guidance which includes signposting to further support, benefit advice and a safe space to share their concerns regarding their children and seek advice and parenting support. We have provided 150 hot and nutritious meals to 100 young people from low-income backgrounds during school holiday periods who are eligible for free school meals.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders include Birmingham City Council, , families and young people and education professionals. We have consulted parents and carers through our parent forum, information sessions and online anonymous feedback surveys. This helped us to ascertain their needs and create the right level of support and signposting for them. Each programme we have delivered we have held focus groups and evaluation sessions with all the young people which has helped to shape the overall delivery or the programme and ensure that our meals are enjoyable.
