Principal activities of the company

Directors' Report for the Financial Year November 2022 - November 2023 Principal Activities of the Company: During the financial year from November 2022 to November 2023, IFightFor, a Community Interest Company (CIC), remained focused on its principal activities aimed at empowering young people up to the age of 25 to engage actively in creating positive social change. The company's core mission is to curate bespoke social action projects that address societal issues and social inequalities while amplifying the voices of the younger generation. However, this year presented several challenges that impacted our ability to deliver on this mission fully: 1. Efforts to Secure Funding: - Throughout the year, the company focused on securing grant funding to support our planned initiatives. Despite considerable efforts, including multiple applications for funding, we were unable to secure the necessary financial support. This resulted in limited resources and affected our ability to develop and implement new social action projects. 2. Maintaining Essential Operations: - Despite the financial constraints, IFightFor maintained essential operations, including email communications and online administrative tasks. These efforts ensured that the company remained operational and prepared for future opportunities, even though new projects could not be delivered this year. 3. Stakeholder Consultations: - The company engaged in consultations with key stakeholders, including young people and community partners. These consultations were conducted through online surveys and virtual meetings to gather feedback on community needs and potential future initiatives. Although formal projects were not launched, these engagements helped IFightFor stay connected with its community and understand the evolving needs and priorities of its stakeholders. 4. Leadership Transition: - During this period, the company experienced a leadership transition after the departure of a director due to personal reasons. The recruitment of a new director was a priority, and this process was critical in ensuring the continuity of the company's strategic direction and preparing for future growth and funding opportunities. **Conclusion:** In summary, despite a challenging financial year, IFightFor remained committed to its mission of empowering young people and supporting social change. The directors are confident that the steps taken this year, including maintaining essential operations, engaging with stakeholders, and securing new leadership, have positioned the company for future success and impact in the community. Moving forward, the focus will be on securing funding, developing new projects, and continuing to build partnerships that support the needs and aspirations of young people.

Company policy on disabled employees

Directors' Report for the Financial Year November 2022 - November 2023 Company Policy on Disabled Employees: IFightFor is committed to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of its operations, including the recruitment and support of disabled employees. As a company, we recognise the value that individuals with disabilities bring to the organisation and the community we serve. This commitment is reflected in our inclusive recruitment practices and our support for employees with disabilities. One of our directors has a disability, which has informed our approach to fostering an inclusive and supportive working environment. This perspective played a significant role in our recruitment process for a new director this year. We ensured that our recruitment process was accessible and that all candidates were assessed fairly based on their skills, experience, and potential to contribute to the company’s mission. We strive to provide reasonable adjustments in the workplace to ensure that all employees, including those with disabilities, can work effectively and comfortably. This includes offering flexible working arrangements and making any necessary accommodations to support the needs of disabled employees. IFightFor is dedicated to continuous improvement in our policies and practices to create an environment where all employees, regardless of disability, can thrive and contribute to our mission of empowering young people and driving positive social change.

Company activities and impact

In the financial year from November 2022 to November 2023, IFightFor, a Community Interest Company (CIC), remained committed to its mission of empowering young people up to the age of 25 to actively engage in creating positive social change. However, this year presented several challenges that impacted our ability to deliver projects and achieve our goals. Activities and Community Impact: 1. Efforts to Secure Funding: - Throughout the year, IFightFor made considerable efforts to secure grant funding to support our initiatives. Despite these efforts, we were unable to obtain the necessary funding. This lack of financial resources significantly limited our ability to develop and deliver social action projects as planned. 2. Maintaining Operations: - Despite the financial challenges, we maintained essential operations, including email communications and administrative tasks for online filing. These efforts ensured that the organisation remained active and ready to respond to future opportunities, even though we were not able to deliver new projects during this period. 3. Leadership Transition: - This year also saw a period of leadership transition. After a long decision-making process one of our directors decided at the end of the financial year November 23 going into the new year to the leave the director role due to personal reasons, IFightFor focused on recruiting a new director to lead the organisation. This transition required careful management to ensure continuity and to prepare for renewed efforts in the upcoming year. In the next financial year which reports will soon follow we appointed a new director and have begun fundraising and even have our first community fundraiser in a number of years. Conclusion: While IFightFor faced a challenging year without the delivery of new projects, our commitment to supporting young people and driving positive social change remained steadfast. The organisation continued to operate at a basic level, focusing on securing the funding and leadership needed for future initiatives. We are poised to build on these efforts in the next financial year, with renewed focus and determination to make a meaningful impact in our community.
