The company's activities are to benefit persons aged 40 and over who are interested in running, located nationwide in the UK and are of all running abilities and experience. During the year to 30 September 2023 a number of events have been organised for the community members: - Regional meet ups. - Annual award ceremony, which eas also live streamed to the community, recognising achievement and celebrating success. - Organising 6 virtual runs with medals for all, 5 of which supported specific charities linked to a member and their chosen charity, raising over £5,000 in total. The sixth was a 10k Running at 40 Plus Challenge event.
Consultation with the Running at 40 Plus Community during the year has been via an online community of over 20,000 runners over the age of 40. Throughout the year questions and requests for feedback and suggestions have been posted and responded to in the Running at 40 Plus Facebook community group. Running at 40 Plus is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy running and to inspire others and be inspired. The runners in the community range from absolute beginners to seasoned runners. Support has been provided with a monthly newsletter with running tips, a runner of the month and inspiring stories and an active social media account with daily posts. Further consultation has been achieved through the events that have been held during the year.
