Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover represents the amounts charged to leaseholders by way of maintenance charges, ground rent and insurance in the year. Such monies are expended on behalf of the leaseholders and any balances remaining are held in trust within the accordance of the appropriate sections of the Landlord and Tenants Act. |
Assets and liabilities |
The company owns the freehold property known as Howard Court, Arundel Road Central, Peacehaven, East Sussex, BN10 7NW, however the company makes no claim to the other assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. The company acts as a trustee through its directors on behalf of the leaseholders of the property, and all other assets and liabilities are recognised as being held in trust on behalf of said leaseholders in accordance with the appropriate sections of the Landlord and Tenants Act. |

All maintenance charge monies collected but not expended are held in trust on behalf of the leaseholders in accordance with the appropriate sections of the Landlord and Tenants Act, at The Co-operative Bank, under the title of "Howard Court Peacehaven Residents Association Limited". The company makes no claim to the monies held in this account. |
