1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Howard Court Peacehaven Residents Association Limited is a private company, limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£).

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover represents the amounts charged to leaseholders by way of maintenance charges, ground rent and insurance in the year. Such monies are expended on behalf of the leaseholders and any balances remaining are held in trust within the accordance of the appropriate sections of the Landlord and Tenants Act.

Assets and liabilities
The company owns the freehold property known as Howard Court, Arundel Road Central, Peacehaven, East Sussex, BN10 7NW, however the company makes no claim to the other assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. The company acts as a trustee through its directors on behalf of the leaseholders of the property, and all other assets and liabilities are recognised as being held in trust on behalf of said leaseholders in accordance with the appropriate sections of the Landlord and Tenants Act.

6. CASH AT BANK

All maintenance charge monies collected but not expended are held in trust on behalf of the leaseholders in accordance with the appropriate sections of the Landlord and Tenants Act, at The Co-operative Bank, under the title of "Howard Court Peacehaven Residents Association Limited". The company makes no claim to the monies held in this account.
