Basis of preparing the financial statements |
The financial statements of the charitable company, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and reporting by Charities: Statements of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2015)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. |
Income |
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably. |
Tangible fixed assets |
The cost of tangible fixed assets includes only expenditure incurred in bringing the assets into working condition for their intended use. Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to allocate the cost of each asset over its estimated useful life. |
Fixtures & Fittings - 15% on reducing balance |
Computer Equipment - 33% on cost |
Plant & Machinery - 25% on reducing balance |
Buildings - 2% on cost |
Stocks |
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. |
Taxation |
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities. |

8. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
Included within creditors is an interest free loan of £4,000 due to a trustee of the charity ( 31st December 2022 - £6,488). |
Included within charitable activities there is rental expenditure of £1,300 (31st December 2022 - Nil ). This is owed to a trustee of the charity who owns the land and the £1,300 remains outstanding and is included within creditors at 31st December 2023. |
No rent was incurred in the year ended 31st December 2022 as the trustee waived the rental expnense due to exceptional circumstances regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. |
