We have designed and provided a 6 weeks participatory photography project with ESOL Learners with Coventry University, benefiting 15 participants. We co-produced a community project in Zaragoza with our Spain branch with an online exhibition and two public exhibitions that had a huge impact in the local community building local network and strengthening community bonds, attracting local media and UNESCO for a future project in the named neighborhood. https://www.fotosynthesiscommunity.org/es/somos-zaragoza/ https://www.insideoutproject.net/en/explore/group-action/somos-zaragoza https://www.insideoutproject.net/en/news/somos-zaragoza-retratos-y-voces-del-gancho Our director Ingrid Guyon has carried on co-writing a book and guide with Tiffany Fairey on Peace Photography as part of her research Imaging Peace with King’s College that will contribute to peacebuilding. www.imagingpeace.org (still in progress). The e-guide will be free and accessible on the website for peacebuilding, visual and community practitioner in English, French and Spanish. We have also translated our website in Spanish to be more accessible internationally and have delivered a photovoice for evaluation staff training and implemented a fieldwork project for Save the Children Spain in Almeria, Malaga, Catalonia and Canary Island using some of our UK resources with 34 young migrants and 14 Save the Children staff members. Report is still being designed and will be published by the end of 2024. https://www.savethechildren.es/actualidad/photovoice-y-fanzine-actividades-artisticas-que-representan-los-viajes-migratorios
The company’s stakeholders are the communities we work with, the NGOs and educational or cultural institutions who approach us who have similar ethics and values, our members and pool of facilitators. We often organise meetings and consultations to design projects that could have an impact or identify gaps to provide training to the team. 2023 has been focusing on migrants, local community impacts, peacebuilding and audiovisual production learnings and European collaborations.
