Company activities and impact

Period & Pause is a Community Interest Company (Cic) based in Camden, London and dedicated to empowering girls, women, and people who menstruate. Founded in December 2022 by Anna Price, Period & Pause Cic addresses the essential need for menstrual and menopausal health education by delivering Menstrual Health & Wellbeing workshops to secondary schools, youth clubs, and women's groups in London. Our Community impact during the financial year of 2022-2023 includes: - 140 teenagers have taken part in our in-person school workshops - 69% of those teenagers receive Free School Meals - 15 women who speak English as a second language have attended our 'cafe-style' menopause awareness and advice sessions Workshop and Outcomes: - Our workshops aim to equip teenagers and adults with essential skills and knowledge, promoting confidence, proactive health and wellbeing habits, and positive relationships with peers and family members. Testimonial: "Period & Pause delivered great workshops on menstrual health for our students. Their engaging and informative sessions created a comfortable space for open discussions, empowering our students with essential knowledge and fostering a supportive environment. The hands-on experience with various period products was a highlight, promoting confidence and preparedness. were grateful for the partnership with Period & Pause, contributing significantly to the empowerment and education of our students" - La Sainte Union Secondary School, Camden, London.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's directors are Anna Price, Chloe Diski and Alice Murdoch. Anna Price creates and delivers our workshops while running the day-to-day tasks for Period & Pause Cic. Chloe Diski is a registered Psychotherapist and writer - who is developing the mental health elements of the workshops. Alice Murdoch is an experienced charity fundraiser who oversees our grant applications. We ask everyone who participates in our workshops to fill out a short online survey with feedback about the sessions to ensure that we deliver impactful and useful menstrual health and menopause education in a way that is understood and empowering for the attendees.

Directors' remuneration

The total directors' remuneration amount received by Anna Price (Director of Period & Pause) in respect of qualifying services was £523.50. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of the directors, or compensation for the director's loss of office, which are required to be disclosed.
