Early years are the most important time of a child’s life for development and here at Early Years Staffordshire C.I.C we have developed a Soccer Lions programme focusing on your child’s development in speech, language, numeracy, social skills, balance and co-ordination, physical skills, self-esteem and self-confidence. We have also developed a Play Together (Stay and Play) session building on all areas of children’s development and supporting parents. Once these building blocks are in place your child will then begin to develop through the Soccer Lions programme as a budding Soccer player, learning Soccer skills for passing, turning, dribbling, shooting, catching, throwing and positional play, giving children every chance of making a successful transition to junior football by the age of 6 years. The Play Together sessions help children to become school ready in a relaxed environment. During this financial year, when possible, we have supported children in the community sessions, school sessions and stay and play sessions.
