COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

THE COMMUNITY WARDROBE CIC

Company Number: 13455191 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 June 2024

Company activities and impact

The Community Wardrobe’s activities will be carried out for the benefit of the local community. This will initially cover Dorking and the surrounding areas with the aim of recycling and reusing clothes. Members of the community can both donate and acquire clothing. This is predominantly a free or nominal donation service with a fair usage policy. This will be particularly beneficial to those in a lower socio-economic cohort who will be able to acquire wearable items in good condition free of charge. Those who can afford it can choose to pay a donation. It will also offer those with a passion to protect the environment an alternative outlet for the recycling and reuse of good condition clothing. In addition, The Community Wardrobe will extend the life cycle of clothing items donated therefore reducing textile waste and contributing to a more sustainable future.
