Company activities and impact

Quest Soul Theatre cic offer well-being through drama to the community of Bromley in the following ways: - We run two drama classes each week with a focus on mental health. We help 20 people per week through these classes, Classes are "pay what you can" (suggested £5). We have noted a 25% increase in the well-being of our clients (based on surveys). - Quest uses money from the classes and fundraising to subsidise theatre trips for the clients, helping lonely individuals access theatre with a group, and at an affordable price. Quest pays 50% of the ticket price. Quest has also invested in scripts, puppets, costumes and musical instruments to help support the experiential element of the class. Quest has also been a huge part of the community and created a free monthly cafe event for people with a range of needs covering autism, dementia and mental health issues. Quest has taken part in many local business networking events. These events help bridge the collaboration between local businesses and us. Quest has been building close relationships to further its position in the community, we well as to give relevant links to our clients. In conclusion, via all our classes and workshops, we have helped over 150 people in the past year, and are continuing to grow.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are local residents of Bromley, West Wickham, Orpington and Beckenham. We have also had some visitors from further afield. Our stakeholder are anyone aged 18+ with an interest in drama or who needs support with their mental health. We have a range of unique needs within all our classes, especially across the SEN spectrum. Stakeholders have been asked to complete regular evaluations and feedback sessions about their experience in class and how we can improve the service. As a response to this, we are now letting Stakeholders choose more of the constant they explore in class. We have also employed two freelance facilitators to give more variation to our content and teaching styles. We complete feedback every three months to make sure our stakeholders get to voice their opinions.
