The company began working in the local community, in collaboration with two local charities in June 2023, within the financial year December 2022 to December 2023. It has provided provided services that have benefitted the local community in the following way: It has begun to provide some housing support services to ladies that have found themselves homeless due to domestic violence and/or family breakdowns. It has provided services to local children through the school holidays. It has collaborated with a local charity by managing their booking system, created and ran a food programme and enriching activities to develop physical and social skills. This has impacted families by providing food education for children and their parents. It has provided healthy meals, organised a breadth of leisure activities to promote a healthy lifestyle. The company has also provided some bookkeeping and administrative services within the local community, therefore supporting other community organisations. Within this financial year 8 ladies have been housed and supported within their accommodation. 80 children and their families have been supported in the cost-of-living crisis through the Summer and Winter school breaks, 2023.
The company stakeholders are residents of East and West Lindsey. The people groups reached are children mainly 4 to 16years and ladies that have been housed in our local community. Children and their families have been consulted at each holiday programme and feedback has been recorded. Feedback identified some children arrive at the holiday club without eating breakfast, which resulted in this being provided each day. Children were asked for feedback on activities they enjoyed, didn’t enjoy and activities that they would like to try next time. The results were children would like to go on days out rather than stay at one venue. This then informed the planning of the Winter activities. Ladies in supported housing have weekly and monthly meetings. Feedback from their monthly house meetings highlighted the lack of local public transport and the inability to afford a taxi. Support workers were sought to transport residents to the foodbank, UC appointments and medical appointments. Feedback also highlighted the lack of motivation to take part in leisure activities within the winter months therefore a programme of monthly activities was created to support residents mental and physical health.
