COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

INCLUSIVE PEDALS CIC

Company Number: 10800985 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 June 2024

Company activities and impact

Inclusive Pedals has provided cycling sessions using a fleet of adapted ‘bicycles’ for several disability and learning difficulty groups from our local area. 190 individual users have made 800 visits to our sessions in the last financial year. Our other main activity is to provide a monthly ‘Dr Bike’ workshop at four local sites. Here we have mechanics providing free bicycle repairs. In the last financial year over the 32 workshops we ran we repaired and adjusted 400 bikes. At one workshop we refurbish donated bikes and pass them on just asking for a small donation. This year we have passed on over 25 bikes. Our Cycling Without Age project is providing weekly cycling trips from two care homes run by a team of volunteers with our two etrikes. We also deliver a project for Derbyshire Community Health Service loaning out a fleet of ebikes to their staff. Our community cycle club has led 5 rides with 60 people taking part.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are the user groups for our adapted cycling sessions, the general public using our Dr Bike workshops, recipients of refurbished bikes, care homes and public taking part in our rides. Adapted cycling groups are sent an appraisal form after their first visit and then a follow up telephone or email to discuss how the sessions went. Dr Bike has more informal feedback whilst repairs are done with sessions that are funded we conduct a survey including asking what we could have done better. We record postcodes of participants so we can target workshops. Cycling Without Age has received good feedback from the two care homes we currently work with.

Directors' remuneration

Three directors are trained bike mechanics and received remuneration when working as mechanics at our Dr Bike workshops. Our fourth director is our ride leader and receives expenses. A total of £15,069.99 was received in respect of qualifying services.
