Company activities and impact

The purpose of the CIC is to benefit the cyber security community. The main goal of the Parrot Security project is to keep creating, maintained and evolve a Linux Distribution / Operating System that is providing adequate pre-installed facilities and toolkit, to increase productivity among the cyber security professionals, cyber security students and amateurs. This Linux Distribution / Operating System also encapsulates the know-how and techniques that have been researched and used by Parrot community and given back to Cyber security community. The project benefits the community by (among others) offering of a free cyber security environment preloaded with toolkits and facilities that increase productivity of cyber security professionals offering of a secure and privacy-oriented environment to protect sensitive information conducting research and development in the cyber security field for the advancement and enhancement of the open-source operating system developed by the project, and for the benefit of its community. distributing quality cyber security tools to everyone without limitations or discriminations (open-source) without licensing fees. granting access to cyber security tools and training material to everyone, and to spreading cyber security awareness through the community. ability for quicker and quality support, low maintenance costs, and increased scalability, which ultimately leads to a better service, better quality and better usage of the system. contribute back to the upstream projects used in the operating system for the benefit of other communities with goals and values compatible with ours.

Consultation with stakeholders

Parrot Security is a global community of cyber security professionals and amateurs. Since the project is based on open-sourcing technologies and it is heavily based on its community, our community members provide constant feedback about new tools, techniques, and features. What’s more, since May 2020 Parrot Security is working closely with Hack The Box Ltd team. By providing resources and support, the Hack The Box team enables the Parrot team to focus on what they do best, further developing and adding more functionality and features to the Parrot Security OS. Finally, two of companies Director’s are external consultants to the CIC and they provide feedback with regards to Business Administration & Finance as well as Product and Content roadmap.
