Throughout 2023 the company continued to distribute its "Britain's First City" tourism leaflet to promote the Colchester area. It also continued “Colchester Roman City”, a project launched in 2022 to unite and promote all aspects of Roman Colchester. In August 2022 the company launched the Colchester Tourism Sign & Wayfinding Project to review relevant signage throughout the area and to make recommendations for its replacement and improvement where necessary. This project continued throughout 2023, focusing on the development of a tourism-orientated pedestrian signage scheme linking arrival points, amenities and destinations within the city centre. Promotion of Colchester as a visitor destination is of economic and social benefit to the community. Improved pedestrian signage in Colchester city centre will also benefit the community.
The stakeholders of the company are those sections of the community that the company is intended to serve - the residents of, visitors to and workers in Colchester - and those organisations that represent them. Consultation with stakeholders and the benefiting community continues through social media and e-mailings.
