Company activities and impact

Revolution Hive provides workshops & programmes in schools, colleges & universities to equip young people for life beyond the classroom. Our work focuses on helping them build the social, emotional & personal skills they will need to succeed in life. During the year, our work helped young people in the following ways: - We delivered talks keynotes which educated young people from disadvantaged backgrounds/not likely to apply to Higher education on the career pathways available to them, and how to select the ones most suited to them. - We successfully piloted a new online learning platform called Lessons for Life, which helped students to think critically about their behaviour and the ways in which it hampered their education in the classroom - In total we worked with over 2,000 young people over the year providing self motivation and enrichment days as part of the NCOP (now UniConnect) programme.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our work is always informed by our stakeholders (students/schools/colleges) in the following ways: - All sessions we deliver are co-designed with their input. We run focus groups with students to find out where gaps in knowledge/skills are & then consult with experts to design sessions around those topics.-- - We work with the relevant teacher/member of staff in an education organisation to understand what the needs of the organisation is, and what they feel students need. Often this is particularly focused on the self motivation of students who are underperforming due to various factors. - Lastly we've been working with policy & education experts who are able to help us design the best possible interventions & impact measurement. Paul Hamlyn Foundation are a current partner we worked with again this year for example.
