We kept providing our Cuppa Concerts to healthcare and social organisations and community centres, reaching out to hundreds of isolated and vulnerable people across London and other parts of the UK. These short performances are given by local professional musicians, most of the time in person, sometimes online. As we offer a wide range of styles and music genres, we manage to reach out to as many people as possible. We have also maintained our partnership with Islington Council, organising another performance on Holocaust Memorial Day. We pursued and intensified the delivery of our music lessons successfully and established three poles in London: West London (White City Community Centre), North London (Elizabeth House) and South-East London (Mycenae House). These lessons aim to impact socially and therapeutically people who would benefit from them. We developed a sliding scale called 'Equalise' which enables anyone to receive lessons regardless of their financial abilities. A important share of our students suffer from various health issues and have been referred to us by social prescribers and NHS doctors. The feedback has been very positive so far.
We always ask our audiences and students for musical preferences and requests before the performances or the lessons to tailor them. We also ask for their feedback afterwards and take their suggestions into account for the planning of our future services.
