Company activities and impact

GEWE Global Network CIC (GEWE NETWORK) focused its activities on addressing the unique challenges faced by BAME (Black, African, and Ethnic Minority) women especially aged 18 to 35. Our primary mission was to inspire, support, and equip these women with the necessary resources to empower their journey towards leadership, political engagement, and civic decision-making. GEWE NETWORK committed to providing direct support through workshops and panel talk to over 200 BAME women, enabling them to ascend to more influential positions. This initiative aimed to actively contribute to dismantling structural inequalities that often render women in this category 'invisible'. Our target demographic encompassed school leavers, university students, graduates, women seeking skills enhancement, and those from disadvantaged communities, ensuring a wide-ranging impact. Through these activities, GEWE Global Network CIC has benefited the community by empowering young BAME women, promoting diversity in leadership and STEM fields, addressing structural inequalities, and fostering a more inclusive society. Our efforts have contributed to the development of confident, skilled, and influential BAME women who are better equipped to participate in civic decision-making and serve as role models, thereby creating a positive ripple effect throughout their communities. We worked with key stakeholders such as councillors in Croydon and London, community leaders, experts, and prominent organizations. This collaboration created a platform that empowered and inspired young BAME women, leveraging diverse expertise for community benefit.
