Homeless Stars Housing, a CIC in Leeds provide a floating support service for vulnerable adults who have experienced homelessness or are street homeless. The company has benefitted the community in the following ways: - Single adults who suffer from mental health issues have received counselling support, enabling them to live more independently and experience positive changes. - Signposted homeless single adults to organisations who have accommodation readily available, causing a decrease in homelessness. - Providing food packs to individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship. - Providing toiletries, furniture and clothing for people who have limited amount of money from benefits. - Held outreaches in the city centre and provided guidance on the range of services available, ie debt advice, accommodation, drug/alcohol clinic and support group meetings to build a positive support network.
The company's stakeholders are the vulnerable adults who receive the floating support service.
