1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |

2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Revenue recognition |
Revenue is measured at the fair value received or receivable for the sale of batteries. |
Revenue is recognised on the sale of goods when the goods are delivered to or collected by the customer at which time the significant risks and rewards of ownership are transferred to the customer. |
Stocks |
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
Debtors |
Debtors do not carry any interest and are stated at their nominal value. Appropriate allowances for estimated irrecoverable amounts are recognised in the Profit and Loss account when there is objective evidence that the asset is impaired. |
Cash and cash equivalents |
These comprise cash at bank and other short-term highly liquid bank deposits. |
Creditors |
Creditors are not interest bearing and are stated at their nominal value. |
Going concern |
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis, which assumes that the company will continue in existence for the foreseeable future. |
The directors have declared their intention to continue to support the company for the foreseeable future and will not require repayment of their directors' loan account within 12 months of signing the directors report. |
The directors consider that in preparing the financial statements they have taken into account all information that could be reasonably be expected to be available. On this basis they consider that it is appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis. |

In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the financial statements of Manston Batteries Limited for the year ended 31 March 2024 which comprise the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, Balance Sheet and the related notes from the company's accounting records and from information and explanations you have given us. |
