Residential management companies financial statements |
A statutory trust is imposed over service charge monies received under section 42 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 and the residential management company acts as a trustee in this capacity. |
Therefore the company's financial statements reflects only the company assets, liabilities and equity. |
In accordance with section 42 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 separate financial statements have been prepared for the leaseholders. |
Taxation |
The company is a flat management company run for it's members and as such is not for profit and not subject to taxation. Neither tax nor deferred tax is recognised. |
