For the year ending 31 March 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is wholly derived from the letting of freehold property owned by the company before dedcutions of all costs and expenses.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is not provided for the freehold property 9 Rupert Road, as in the opinion of the directors the land alone is valued in excess of the cost quoted in the accounts. No depreciation is provided for 34 Shardeloes road and for 11 Etta Street. Furniture and fittings in the properties are virtually fully depreciated, any replacements are written off when purchased.

    Valuation information and policy

    For the purposes of CGT the value of Rupert Road has been agreed with inland revenue at 31st March 1982 at £50,000 and at £600,000 on 4th March 1999. A further valuation was required in March 2019 to value the shares. Rupert Road at £1,595,000; 34 Shardeloes Road at £810,000; 11 Etta Street at £535,000
