The company operates from within the Bronwyn’s Baby shop on Wells High Street in Somerset, an eco-friendly baby with a particular emphasis on selling eco-friendly and sustainable gifts as well as locally made items by local artisans. The shop opened in October 2022. During the financial year 2023-2024, the shop’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - local families have been able to purchase good quality, second hand children and maternity clothing and items, which would have otherwise added to landfill. - 8 families with newborn babies have benefitted from free hire (up to one month) of a stretchy wrap or a stretchy hybrid baby carrier, encouraging strong emotional bond with baby, responsive parenting and improving mental health of parents. - 2 local foster carers have benefitted from free hires of baby carriers. Available to all foster families in the local area, helping vulnerable babies and children bond well and adjust to their foster carers. - 29 local families have benefitted from low cost or free baby groups in the Snug area above the shop, including access to a fully stocked sling library and a trained and qualified babywearing consultant. - 14 hours of free babywearing consultancy advice and guidance have been provided during the year.
