During 2023, on behalf of our members, Plymouth Social Enterprise Network (PSEN) has: - Delivered on the third year’s priorities against the social enterprise strategy for the city - Held various networking meetings for social enterprises and interested parties in Plymouth - Delivered the Plymouth Social Enterprise City Festival in November 2023 with a theme about marking ten years as the UK’s first Social Enterprise City - Ran a successful awards evening for social enterprises in Plymouth - Ran an exhibition of social enterprise over the last ten years in the city - Worked with the Rank Foundation on its programme for Plymouth’s social enterprises - Worked strategically to ensure Inclusive Growth is a priority for Plymouth - Worked with the Plymouth Growth Board, Buyers Network and other strategic partners to ensure social enterprises are embedded in economic policy for the city
We have various stakeholders: - We have over 100 members. We consult these through our network meetings and regular newsletters and social media - Strategic partners such as SEUK, Plymouth City Council, University of Plymouth, funders and others. We consult these through regular meetings - e.g., we are closely involved with the City Council informing about strategy and policy. We are involved in Plymouth’s Inclusive Growth Group which advocates for fairer economic growth in the city. We attend the national SEUK places meetings. Action taken in response has been: - Development of improved communications services - Improved membership benefits such as discounts with SEUK and others - Work with the city council to improve social enterprise relevant policies such as commissioning for social value and the Inclusive Growth work
Directors’ gross remuneration was £12,536, We estimate 10% of that was spent on discharging directors’ duties.
