Square Pegs Round Holes is a company working with children, young people, families and communities to build resilience and provide support to recognise and overcome the barriers that limit their full participation in their lives. During the financial year 2022 to 2023 the company delivered the following projects with the attendant community benefits. Supporting a Stronger You (SaSY) This is a resilience programme to build and support transferable life skills. During the financial year we delivered SaSY, a one to one facilitated programme in one secondary school within the city of Wolverhampton. Benefits to approximately 96 pupils; building on and developing skills for life e.g. understanding the complexities of relationships. Benefits to the communities: more fulfilled and better prepared young people. Benefits to Square Pegs: building a better understanding of the varied lives lived by young people which in turn supports the evolution of our programmes.
The company’s stakeholders are: Police Wolverhampton residents/parents Schools/pupils Voluntary sector organisations Community representatives Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council City of Wolverhampton Council Funders We consult with these stakeholders in a range of tailored ways :- Face to face Questionnaires Virtual meeting platforms Workshops Social media Meetings All feedback received is passed back to the commissioning agencies/funders. We utilise the learning to make improvements to our future activities.
