For the year ending 31 December 2023 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies' regime and in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A - Small Entities. The profit and loss account has not been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.

Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. The climbing wall is included in plant and machinery at a cost of £310,000. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:

The company operates a defined contribution scheme for the benefit of its employees. The company pays fixed contributions into a separate entity. Once the contributions have been paid the company has no further payment obligations.
Contributions payable are recognised in the profit and loss account when due. Amounts not paid are shown as accruals as a liability in the balance sheet. The assets of the plan are held separately from the company in independently administered funds.
Government grants in relation to expenditure are credited when the expenditure is charged to profit and loss.
No donations were made during the year. (2022: £542 to climbers against cancer Registered Charity Number: 1158181)

Transactions with related parties
Related party transactions have occurred during the year with a company under the same control totalling £13,170 (2022: £14,913). There is a balance owed to that company of £57,157 as at 31 Dec 2023 (2022: £43,987)
There were no related party transactions with the parent company, Climbing Hut Holdings Limited during the year. There is a balance owed to that company of £498,709 as at 31 Dec 2023 (2022: £498,721)
Any balances remaining due at year end are shown as a liability in the balance sheet within note 7: Creditors amounts falling due after more than 1 year.
This company is 100% owned by Climbing Hut Holdings Limited and is therefore considered its controlling party.
