Your Canal Boat C.I.C. promotes canal based activities to benefit canal boat owners, residents and anyone who uses London's 140 miles of canal side tow paths. The work is focused on the Paddington arm of the Grand Union canal from Ladbroke Grove, west to Harlesden and Ealing and including Tottenham. London's canals have never been more popular, and the C.I.C.'s mission is to bring a little more 'canal' into the lives of individuals and organizations that might gain from the experience. This year we embarked on a program and project for climate scientists, theatre professionals, teachers and young people to collaboratively develop new ways to raise awareness and the concrete steps needed to combat climate change. The project was a success in raising awareness within the community and users.
The company’s stakeholders are the artists, musicians, teachers and local community in need of performance venues and members of the general public desiring to see and hear them play. We identified and worked with Borough officials, The Canal and River Trust and private property owners to activate various canal locations. We are always talking to the local community to involve them in all projects.
