Hair. Care, Share is a community interest company which makes provision of hairdressing services to beneficiaries from donations made by benefactors by adding to the cost of the service to include a donation. The donation element is put towards a hairdressing service for someone that is struggling to reach their potential. Our beneficiaries can include the users of food banks, job centres, homeless shelters, those recently hospitalized, claiming PIP, full time/youth carers, a community pillar that deserves a pampering session, it is all the people that simply don't have the budget for a decent hair service, reeling your best is a basic human right. Hair, Care, Share works alongside the providers of the above services to ensure that our beneficiaries are legitimately in need of our help but also to ensure that the emotional well-being of each and every client is a key consideration. The director and individual behind it. Shelley Line, began the process of opening a hair salon in 2019 and having secured premises opened in January 2020. We have continued this service throughout 2021, 2022 and 2023.In 2022 we widened our objectives following a successful application to the Social Enterprise Support Fund. Our application was with the aim to help the LGBTQ+ community to tackle loneliness and isolation and provide a welcoming space with no prejudice , a multi-purpose space, where members can be introduced to members of the community who feel extremely isolated, particularly those who are struggling with gender dysphoria. Our professionally structured meetings and activities have include dance, art, photography, modelling, design, make-up, hair and crafting all of which has been participant led but managed with a support mechanism in place by introducing a project coordinator and supervisor. We have space for up to 20 people to meet and participate on a weekly. Unfortunately our enterprise has not been able to sustain itself and we shut the doors on the 3 July 2023
The company's stakeholders are residents of the local area. The director of the company has lived in the locality for a number of years and developed the business model for the salon based on their experience of talking to other residents. Our beneficiaries can include the users of food banks, job centre's, homeless shelters, those recently hospitalised, claiming PIP, full time/youth curers. Hair, Care, Share works alongside the providers of the above services who are also very much stakeholders to ensure that our beneficiaries are legitimately in need of our help but also to ensure that the emotional well-being of each and every client is a key consideration. Whilst still residing in the local area our stakeholders have extended to specifically include the LGBT + community. We help the LGBTQ+ community to tackle loneliness and isolation and provide a welcoming space with no prejudice , a multi-purpose space, where we can introduce members of the community who feel extremely isolated, particularly those who are struggling with gender dysphoria. Our professionally structured meetings and activities include dance, art, photography, modelling, design, make-up, hair and crafting all of which are participant led but managed with a support mechanism in place by means of a project coordinator and supervisor. We have been able to accommodate up to 20 people to meet and participate on a weekly basis
The aggregate amount of emoluments paid to the director in respect of qualifying services was £2,000. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
