During the year the company continued to work The Asian Health Agency to develop a project to support volunteers and community groups in Southall to use IT tools to engage their members. In particular, it worked in partnership to develop a programme to set up a Volunteers Hub in Southall. The company continued to work with The Asian Women’s Network on work to support minority communities in Southall facing isolation and mental health problems and help them use digital and online technology and tools to connect with local community activities and support services. This work has continued to benefit local people through working to improve physical and mental wellbeing through developing volunteering within the community and improving access via. Using and accessing tablets, whats app groups and information on local activities.
The Company stakeholders are local communities experiencing poverty disadvantage and inequalities particularly from Black & Minority Ethnic communities as welt as some community groups that support these communities and work to address disadvantages and inequalities within diverse communities. The company worked with volunteers to support activity to help marginalised members of the community to use and learn digital technology and tools to connect with local services in and around Southall. The Company organised a number of meetings with local groups and volunteers and users including The Asian Health Agency and The Asian Women’s Network to promote activity to help marginalised women, volunteers' groups and older people to use digital technology and tools to access and connect with local services in and around Southall. The Company is continuing to work with The Asian Health agency in its efforts to secure funding to create a Volunteers Hub and to provide training and support to volunteers. The Company continues to support The Asian Women’s Network to develop a project focusing on improving mental health amongst BME women in Southall.
