  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have been transferred to the buyer. Revenue from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Grants and funding are recognised at the fair value of the asset received or receivable when there is reasonable assurance that the grant/funding conditions will be met, and the grants will be received. Grants and funding that specify performance conditions are recognised in Other Operating Income when the performance conditions are met. Where grant or funding income does not specify performance conditions, it is recognised in income when the proceeds are received or receivable. Grants and funding received before the recognition criteria are satisfied are recognised as a liability.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets as follows: - Land and buildings - 25 years - Plant and machinery - 5 years - Fixtures and fittings - 5 years - Vehicles - 10 years - Office Equipment - 3 years

Bambers Inclusive CIC is dedicated to transforming swimming education for individuals with diverse needs, particularly focusing on those with disabilities, special educational needs (SEN), and neurodiversity. At the core of Bambers Inclusive CIC's mission is the belief that everyone, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities, deserves access to high-quality swimming education and the life-enriching benefits it provides. Under the leadership of Bambers Inclusive CIC's in-house Occupational Therapist, the approach to swimming instruction is multifaceted and deeply rooted in principles of inclusivity, adaptability, and empowerment. Bambers Inclusive CIC recognises that traditional swimming programmes often fail to accommodate the unique needs of individuals with disabilities and other challenges, creating barriers that prevent them from fully participating in and benefiting from aquatic activities. To address this, Bambers Inclusive CIC has developed a holistic and person-centred approach that goes beyond simply teaching swimming strokes – aiming to foster confidence, independence, and a sense of achievement in every learner. The team of dedicated swimming instructors at Bambers Inclusive CIC brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the programmes. Many instructors have personal experience with disabilities or neurodiversity themselves, providing them with an innate understanding of the challenges faced by the learners. This first-hand knowledge empowers instructors to think creatively, adapt quickly, and tailor their teaching methods to suit the unique needs of each individual. Bambers Inclusive CIC firmly believes that diversity among our teaching staff is not only a strength but also a crucial component of our commitment to inclusivity and representation within the swimming education sector. Central to Bambers Inclusive CIC's approach is the integration of occupational therapy principles into swimming instruction. Occupational therapists are trained to assess and address barriers to participation in everyday activities, and swimming is no exception. By leveraging the expertise of Bambers Inclusive CIC's in-house Occupational Therapist, we are able to identify and implement strategies to overcome barriers to learning and participation in swimming, whether they be physical, cognitive, or environmental. This may involve making modifications to swimming strokes, providing specialised equipment, or creating personalised learning plans tailored to each individual's goals and abilities. Beyond the pool, Bambers Inclusive CIC's impact extends into the broader community. Bambers Inclusive CIC is a passionate advocate for the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of society and actively works to promote awareness, acceptance, and accessibility within the swimming and aquatics industry. Through partnerships with local schools, community organisations, and disability advocacy groups, Bambers Inclusive CIC aims to break down barriers to participation and create opportunities for individuals of all abilities to experience the joy and benefits of swimming. Consultation with stakeholders

Key stakeholders include members of the disabled community, educators, swim instructors, and relevant organisations such as the Institute of Swimming and Swim England. Through ongoing consultation and collaboration, we ensure that our programmes and services effectively meet the needs and preferences of our stakeholders. We value their input and strive to incorporate their feedback into our operations to continuously improve the quality and impact of our services.

The total directors’ remuneration was £5,501.54. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for the director’s loss of office, which required to be disclosed.
