Activities have included the following: (i) Nutrition & Lifestyle Consultations: This involves providing 1-2-1 advisory coaching as well as group consultation sessions. Most activities have been run by Heidi Giaever in a voluntary capacity, based on the principle that once someone has paid for a couple of consultations, they will be invited to join one of the support groups she runs, for free. (ii) Food Addiction Solutions work together with colleagues, helping adults to put food addiction symptoms into remission, resulting in improved health and mental wellbeing. An international consensus was achieved amongst clinicians, academics and researchers and celebrated with a conference, with data published in May 2024. (iii) Collaboration for Kids (CFK) This project is focused on collaborative community initiatives that will help children and young families to reduce their risks of metabolic disease by replacing Ultra Processed Food by real and natural foods the way nature intended. The first interventions in a secondary school in Bognor Regis showed promising results and both interest and very positive feedback from the students. Whilst work in all these areas will continue in the forthcoming years and further data will be available to show the benefit to the community, the work will now be passed to the newly formed charity and as such the CIC will be closed.
A “stakeholder” is any person or organisation affected by the company’s activities. Please indicate who the company’s stakeholders are; how the stakeholders have been consulted and what action has the company taken in response to feedback from its consultations. If there has been no consultation you must state ‘There has been no stakeholder consultation held’. Key stakeholders are the patients / clients that attend diabetes support and food addiction consultations and support sessions and students that participate in the CFK interventions. All stakeholders are actively engaged in defining what and how support sessions are conducted and what subjects are covered, on the basis that all group sessions are designed based on specific needs and interests of the groups. Students participate in a co-creation design concept to improve the interventions that will be used with other student cohorts. Consequently, all sessions are tailored according to demand, in order to specifically benefit the attendees. Health professionals supporting their own patients are also important stakeholders and they are invited to workshops and information sessions, and to attend sessions with the patients for their own education and informational needs.
