INCLUSIVITEE CIC has successfully ran youth hub sessions for children, young people and young adults with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) this financial year. The sessions have consisted of many fun and therapeutic activities such as, arts and crafts, lego, indoor and outdoor soft ball sports, table tennis, badminton, cricket, football, board games, cooking, sensory input activities, VR and electronic gaming and tournaments. The youth hub sessions are an inclusive and safe space for those with SEND and their families in our community. It is a chance for them to come together in a space where they feel accepted and comfortable to be their true selves. It has helped many who have felt lonely and isolated to form and maintain new friendships. This has subsequently helped to improve their social and emotional wellbeing. Build their confidence and independence skills. The feedback from parents/carers and the children, young people and young adults detailing the impact the sessions have had on their daily lives has been incredible. This evidence has enabled the sessions to go from strength to strength, with all sessions being full and a waiting list in place for others wanting to join and come along to the youth hub sessions.
Inclusivitee CIC currently has one director Michelle Downes. Stakeholders are the funders and the SEND families we support in our community. At youth hub sessions we consult with families and the children, young people and young adults to identity any gaps in our provision and how we can improve our services offered to our community members. We also use a suggestions jar to again gather feedback and suggestions anonymously should they wish to, to help improve our services. A request for feedback/survey completion is also sent to parents/carers completed on a regular basis, to ensure the services and provisions we offer to those with SEND and their families in our community is the best it can be.
