Thrive Outside CIC has run regular outdoor woodwork and craft sessions in Homestead Park, York. There have been free sessions every Friday for all members of the community but specifically targeting those that may be isolated and experiencing physical and/or emotional wellbeing issues. We ran a session specifically for women, one for people 50+, both of which were well attended. People gained a great deal from the activities, being in nature, and meeting others in their community,
We continue to link with organisations such as Mind, social prescribers, local area coordinators and nature based organizations. We have applied for funding from trailblazers to enhance our delivery of heritage crafts and share in intergenerational sessions. The stakeholders (in the community) have contributed to the development of our work. We will include more varied crafts, skills and social history in our sessions. We have developed links with the university of York St John and will be inviting students to participate in placements, enhancing the intergenerational nature of our offer as well as work experience for students. We will be exploring opportunities to deliver our work in the North Yorkshire Area in partnership with Better Connect. This will support adults experiencing mental health issues who are struggling in work or out of work.
During the year, the directors were paid £13,228 (2022 - £5,633) for providing the services the company delivers.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
