Principal Activities
Putney BIDCO Limited, trading as Positively Putney BID is the business improvement district for Putney town centre. As detailed in our business plan 2022-2027 we have delivered projects and services under three themes: Promoting Putney Enhancing Putney Supporting Putney businesses. 2023/2024 was the second year of the BIDS second five-year term. The financial position of the company are as shown below. Total BID levy income collected for 2023/2024 was £306,191 (P.Y. 2022-2023 was £298,554), with the levy rate of 1.25% of Rateable Value’s from the 2017 ratings list. The BID can also raise additional income through grants and sponsorship and the council will continue to chase bad debt from previous years. For 2023/2024 the total income including grant and sponsorship income was £321,324. The total income in 2022/2023 was significantly higher due to bad debt collected from BID1. This had not been budgeted for so left us with a healthy surplus at the beginning of this financial year. Money not spent in a financial year is carried over to the next financial year. In 2023/2024 total expenditure was £383,004 which looks like a net deficit of £61,680 but was actually using up surplus from the previous year. The financial year ended with £125,000 surplus and will be carried over into the 2024/25 budget. The annual accounts were presented and approved at the Board meeting on 31st July 2024 (Previous year 15th June, 2023).
