Impact on the Community Red Ribbon Living Well CIC has made a significant impact on the community by remaining dedicated to its mission. We have raised awareness about HIV and related issues through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, educating people on prevention, treatment, and reducing stigma. The organization empowers individuals affected by HIV by providing essential tools, resources, and personalized support, including self-management workshops and motivational programs. Peer Support and Mental Wellbeing Our one-on-one peer support platform has created a space where individuals can share their experiences and offer emotional support, improving their psychological well-being. Through advocacy, awareness campaigns, and community dialogues, we actively challenge misconceptions and cultural stigmas surrounding HIV, enhancing the mental health of those affected. Safe Spaces and Self-Empowerment We provide a safe, supportive environment for individuals to share their experiences without judgment, fostering healthy living and self-empowerment. From its grassroots beginnings, the organization has continuously expanded and adapted its programs to meet the evolving needs of the community. Achievements in 2023-2024 In 2023-2024, Red Ribbon Living Well made notable progress in supporting individuals facing health challenges, economic hardship, and social isolation. The Gilead Sewing Project, Health Community Champions Project, and Community Cost-of-Living Funding Project directly impacted hundreds of lives and indirectly benefited thousands more by providing essential resources, skill development, and emotional support, strengthening the community.
The project actively collaborates with organizations such as KINARAA, Deptford People's Heritage Museum, Goldsmiths Department of Visual Cultures, Lyla's Place, Counselling with a Creative Touch, Lewisham Council, Brook (Love Sex Life), Blueprint for All, and Africa Advocacy Foundation.
