Company activities and impact

Northern Community Power (NCP) has continued to develop and build relations with community groups in north Tyneside, providing energy efficiency advice with the aim of reducing household energy costs, particularly in disadvantaged localities and low-income households. Through this activity NCP has sustained good rapport with community centres to enable continuation of work towards the longer term goals of using local renewable energy to reduce Co2 emissions and develop community energy with income streams that benefit local communities similar to models operating successfully elswhere in the UK. Through a successful grant funding application NCP has provided help to low income households hit particularly hard by unprecedented increases in costs of domestic energy, food, housing and other basic essentials

Consultation with stakeholders

Meetings, discussions and information exchange with Community Energy England, Community Energy South-East, community centres and community groups on north Tyneside.
