We run a programme of projects, activities and workshops, making them inclusive and accessible by working to remove barriers to participation. We are particularly focussed on responding to the challenges of isolation and access, promoting diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and health, the cost of living crisis and climate change in rural communities.
“Thank you so much for yesterday’s session - it was lovely to meet you and your approach with the group is so hard to find, and very welcomed!” Parent, Children’s Creative Club at Babbinswood Farm, July 2024 . “I found my welcome at the hub to be very warm and inclusive. There was a huge air of enthusiasm and energy, and I have really enjoyed my visits there. Great facilities, being improved all the time. The courses have been full of interest and innovation too. I wish you all the best in finding new premises.“ . “The Rural Arts Hub has provided me with a safe, exploratory, imaginative environment to further my art practice and to share experiences with like minded people. It has also enabled me to assist with Cool Beans (6-14 year olds) on occasions, to be inspired and to inspire them in many different ways. The shared space of The Shippon has provided a stimulating area for old and young to absorb art and craft from all disciplines.”
