  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    The turnover represents amounts receivable for goods and services net of VAT and trade discounts.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is calculated to write off the cost of tangible fixed assets by annual instalments over their estimated useful lives based on the net
    book value of assets owned at the beginning of the year and the cost of assets acquired during the year as follows:-
    Tools and equipment: 25% Reducing balance,
    Motor vehicles: 25% Reducing Balance
    Office equipment: 30% Reducing Balance

    Valuation information and policy

    Stocks and work -in-progress are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving
    items. Cost includes all direct expenditure and an appropriate proportion of fixed and variable overheads.
