The directors consider that the Company is entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 and members have not required the Company to obtain an audit for the year in question in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 with respect to accounting records and the preparation of financial statements.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime and in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A - small entities.

The financial statements have been delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The Company has opted not to file the Statement of comprehensive income in accordance with provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies' regime.

The financial statements were approved and authorised for issue by the board and were signed on its behalf on 8 October 2024.

General information

Ganco Property UK Limited is a company limited by shares, incorporated in England and Wales. The address of the registered office is 1 Commonside West, Mitcham, Surrey, CR4 4HA. 
The company specialises in property development and other investment activities.

2.Accounting policies

 
2.1

Basis of preparation of financial statements

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland' and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The disclosure requirements of Section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.

The following principal accounting policies have been applied:

 
2.2

Going concern

The directors note that the company is trading adequately and has sufficient working capital and other finance available to continue trading for a period of not less than 12 months from the Statement of financial position date. As such, the directors believe that there are no significant uncertainties in their assessment of whether the business is a going concern and therefore have prepared the accounts on a going concern basis.

 
2.3

Interest income

Interest income is recognised in the Statement of comprehensive income using the effective interest method.

 
2.4

Debtors

Short-term debtors are measured at transaction price, less any impairment. Loans receivable are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less any impairment.

 
2.5

Creditors

Short-term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

 
2.6

Dividends

Equity dividends are recognised when they become legally payable. Interim equity dividends are recognised when paid. Final equity dividends are recognised when approved by the shareholders at an annual general meeting.

The average monthly number of employees, including directors, during the year was 4 (2023 - 4).

Related party transactions

Included within other creditors is an amount of £159,200 (2023 - £159,200) due to companies under common control and £60,925 (2023 - £31,800) due to the shareholders.
 
Included within other debtors is an amount of £1,020,253 (2023 - £979,013) due from companies under common control.  
 
Interest has been charged on a loan due from a company under common control at a rate of 7% per annum. A provision for interest of £65,815 (2023 - £62,001) has been included in other debtors.

Controlling party

During the year, the company was owned by the Nowsad Gani family trust and controlled by its trustees.
