Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Taxation |
The company acts as trustee of a statutory trust imposed on the service charge monies collected for maintenance of the building, by virtue of s.42 Landlord and Tenant Act 1987. Interest is not liable to corporation tax, but is subject to income tax. |
Prior year adjustment |
In prior years, the service charge income and expenditure was included in the company accounts. However, separate service charge accounts have been prepared and as such amounts relating to the service charge accounts have been excluded from the company accounts. |
The prior year has been restated to reflect the exclusion of service charge income and expenditure to ultimately show that the company has been dormant throughout the year. |
