Principal activities of the company

Principal activity of the company during the financial year involves providing opportunities for young people in South London to excel in basketball and develop personally through accredited programmes, providing a positive alternative to negative influences often experienced by disadvantaged young people living in the inner city of London.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Income and expenses are included in the financial statements as they become receivable or due. Expenses include VAT where applicable as the company cannot reclaim it.

Company activities and impact

The Company is working to provide education and sporting programmes for young people operating on a club level in Lewisham and Lambeth. These programmes tackle health inequalities and anti-social behaviour and provide young people with a platform to enjoy and achieve, be healthy, stay safe and make a positive contribution to society

Consultation with stakeholders

The Company’s stakeholders are the young people of the South London community and residents of the area. We have consulted with parents, SSCO, PDM and extended Schools Services for ways of supporting our Company’s activities into the future.

Directors' remuneration

The aggregate amount of remuneration paid to directors for administration services during the year was Nil (2023 -£Nil). During the year, the company was charged £8,106 (2023 £15,248) for the services of S. Bucknall and £1,120 (2023 £2,560) for the services of H Nietzold, both directors, for providing Coaching services and project management on an arm’s length basis.
