Kennylands Gymnastics C.I.C. provides gymnastics classes for all ages from infant to adult for the community in Reading, West Berkshire, and South Oxfordshire. The C.I.C. supports children of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, providing tuition within a purpose-built facility. The gymnastics classes provide an ideal opportunity for children to develop core skills in agility, balance, co-ordination, and strength whilst making friends and developing strategies for sports progress. The C.I.C. helps promote an active lifestyle and encourages children to understand the importance of perseverance, determination, and patience to achieve their goals. In addition to club membership, The CIC continues to provide gymnastics lessons for the local school community and provides access to clubs within the region who do not have elite level equipment and facilities at their disposal. The CIC also runs Drop-in Gym sessions for the Under 5’s and continues to welcome many new preschool aged children in the community. Our drop-in sessions also provide a fantastic opportunity for parents in the local community with similar aged children to meet. The C.I.C. continues to offer elite level gymnastics training to those members who demonstrate a particular talent. There is dedicated team of Coaches who are trained within the C.I.C. and by British Gymnastics. This year there has been significant successes competitively, with several members of our squad chosen to represent the South Region at National Finals. The C.I.C. offers employment opportunities to young people from the age of 14, often providing them with their first work experience and giving opportunities to develop skills in coaching and working with children.
The C.I.C. has identified its stakeholders as, members of the recreation programme (school aged children), members of the elite programme, members of the preschool programme, parents; local families; local schools, The owners of the facility, British Gymnastics (governing body), employees, our neighbours and the local community. The C.I.C. is committed to adhering to the rules and regulations set out by our governing body, British Gymnastics including the appointment of a Welfare Officer, the C.I.C. currently has two. All classes are designed to meet their requirements and best practice policies. There is also a complaints policy on the Website. The C.I.C is an open and transparent organisation where members, visitors and employees are free to leave feedback on each of the platforms including social media site, website submission or e mail. In addition, the C.I.C. has a prominently displayed Feedback Box where members and visitors to the club are welcome to write their suggestions or concerns anonymously which are then considered at regularly scheduled meetings of the Senior Management and Coaching Team. Employees are regularly consulted in staff meetings and kept informed by way of a dedicated private area of the website and a physical noticeboard on the premises. Operating an open communication environment allows employees to raise any concerns directly with the senior management team. In addition, staff are asked to fill out electronic surveys to obtain feedback on their experience working at the C.I.C.
Total amount paid or receivable in respect of qualifying services was £89,095.00. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
