Company activities and impact

Leeds Palestinian Film Festival (LPFF) held a festival of films during the period 7 November 2023 to 9 December 2023. This comprise of screenings of ten films screened at different locations engaging different communities throughout Leeds. We also held a number of other cultural events: a singing workshop and a choir; a Palestinian embroidery workshop and a vintage Palestinian music event. The Festival was opened by the Lord Mayor of Leeds. The films were a mix of documentaries and feature films made by Palestinians and other international film makers. The majority were accompanied by speakers who engaged the audience in discussion. During the year we also held another screening as part of the Leeds independent filmmakers Scalarama programme held in September 2023.

Consultation with stakeholders

LPFF offered the opportunity for audiences to give feedback views and comments on the films and future programme. These comments have informed the 2024 selection of films.
