    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives: Fixtures and fittings 20% straight line Plant and equipment 20% straight line

Company activities and impact

During the financial year to 31 March 2024, the business has consolidated it's activities to be able to provide a more sustainable and environmentally friendly service to the local area. The van is currently not being used, and the areas previously visited in the van are now fully serviced using deliveries, or visits to the shop, plus orders are received through the social media channels and website. The business provides part-time employment for 3 local people, plus 1 additional self-employed member of the team. Over 10 small businesses have benefitted from being able to stock their produce in the shop on a sale or return basis. Many local businesses have also seen the benefit of being able to purchase stock from the shop at wholesale prices without the need to place onerous minimum quantity orders.
