The Happy Headwork Community C.I.C is a team of qualified therapists and clinical psychologists, who until 2021 delivered services (as sole traders) to client’s organisations across the charity and public sector including charities, health, social care organisations in the UK, International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGO’s) and United Nations Agencies and individual private clients. Based on communication and consultation with clients and the individuals they support (discussed in later section) we identified a need to reach a wider audience through establishing a C.I.C. so we set up Happy Headwork Community C.I.C in 2021. We deliver online, face-to-face and nature-based programmes to empower individuals to: LEARN: about themselves through accessible evidence-based psychology. GROW: a toolkit through accessible and effective skills and techniques and a shift in mindset. THRIVE: we believe that everyone should have the right to thrive and given the right environment and support the ability to do so. All our programmes are underpinned by the PERMA Model for Emotional Wellbeing (Seligman, 2011) and utilize Positive Psychology, Applied Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology within content design. Our Vision For the individuals we support to feel informed and empowered about their mental health and able to make the choices that are right for them; whether that is a self-care approach or working with other trained mental health practitioners. Our Mission We deliver a combination of training, coaching & nature-based programmes designed to support individuals to: Build knowledge about their own psychology, mental health and emotional wellbeing Be able to use effective tools and techniques for managing emotional wellbeing, and mental health To have an increased sense of self-efficacy about creating the future that that they want - we all deserve to thrive! We work with academics at Swansea University to measure our impact and contribute towards academic research in fields related to innovation in mental health provision.
Our stakeholders are: Local community members who may belong to one or multiple ‘sub-strata’ defined by aggregates such as mental health, gender, disability, employment status, cultural background, immigration status, complex needs etc. Local organisations that support community members defined above and or work in a similar arena as us. Funding organisations that support us. Swansea University who support us with our research. We consult with stakeholders through multiple channels and in different ways depending on the objective of the consultation and the accessibility needs/ preferences. Regular inter-organisational meetings and workshops, online polls and feedback with the community. We also have an academically robust outcomes measurement system that guides a two way feedback system at each stage of the project management cycle.
