Company activities and impact

Over the past year, while we have not been trading or generating income, our organisation has remained deeply committed to providing voluntary community services to support and amplify marginalised communities' voices, particularly creatives of colour. Key Activities: Community Blog: We have maintained a vibrant online platform where individuals from marginalised communities share their experiences, social insights, and artistic practices through articles, essays, and creative pieces. These contributions offer a vital space for underrepresented voices and are widely shared across our networks, fostering community engagement, awareness, and dialogue on important social issues. Creative and Support Events: We have organized and hosted various community events designed to bring together creatives of colour. These events have provided safe and supportive spaces for individuals to share their creative work, exchange ideas, and gain peer and community support. These gatherings have been instrumental in building a sense of solidarity and encouraging the personal and professional growth of participants and all run by volunteers with space provided in kind. Creative and Support-Focused Activity Sessions: Through the dedication of our volunteers, we have offered a series of free creative and support-focused workshops and activity sessions. These have included skill-building opportunities, mental health support, and collaborative arts-based projects. By providing these sessions at no cost, we have been able to remove barriers to participation for individuals who may not otherwise have access to such resources. We have had no funds to run these activity sessions. Impact: Our community blog has empowered marginalised voices, creating a platform for self-expression and sharing of diverse perspectives. The community events we have organised have strengthened networks of support among creatives of colour. These events have provided valuable opportunities for creative exchange, collaboration, and mutual encouragement, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and promoting personal growth. Through our volunteer-led creative and support sessions, we have been able to offer vital mental health and emotional support alongside skill-building and creative development opportunities. These initiatives have had a positive impact on the well-being of participants, many of whom have expressed increased confidence and a stronger sense of community belonging. While our organisation has not generated income during this period, the social and creative contributions we have made through these voluntary efforts have had a lasting impact on our community, promoting inclusivity, artistic expression, and emotional well-being.

Consultation with stakeholders

Consultation with Members and Stakeholders Throughout our recent activities, we have maintained an open and ongoing consultation process with both our members and our committee, to ensure that our initiatives align with the needs and priorities of the community we serve. Member Consultation: We have actively engaged with our community members, particularly creatives of colour, to gather feedback and insights on their experiences, challenges, and aspirations. This has been achieved through regular conversations at community events, direct feedback from participants in our creative and support-focused sessions, and contributions to our community blog. These interactions have informed the design and delivery of our programs, ensuring that the activities we offer are responsive to the real and evolving needs of our members. In addition to these feedback processes, we have also used surveys and online discussions to provide members with the opportunity to share their opinions on how we can improve and expand our services. This feedback has been invaluable in shaping our strategy and future direction. Stakeholder Engagement – Our Committee: Our committee, comprising key stakeholders who are dedicated to our mission, has played a central role in guiding our efforts. We have consulted regularly with the committee to review our activities, assess their impact, and discuss strategic decisions. Committee meetings have provided a structured platform for us to present feedback from the community and receive input on our ongoing and planned initiatives. This collaborative approach has ensured that the perspectives of our stakeholders are considered at every stage of our decision-making process. The committee’s expertise and commitment have been instrumental in helping us navigate challenges, particularly in the absence of income generation, and their feedback has shaped our continued focus on voluntary services and community engagement. Through this continuous cycle of consultation, we have been able to remain flexible and responsive, ensuring that our work is community-driven and supported by our stakeholders' collective wisdom.
