  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    2.2. Turnover Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances. Sale of goods- Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods has transferred to the buyer. This is usually at the point that the customer has signed for the delivery of the goods. Rendering of services- Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Turnover is only recognised to the extent of recoverable expenses when the outcome of a contract cannot be estimated reliably.

Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements- The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Just For The Arts Music Group CIC has been actively engaged in supporting the local youth through music and creative through a range of events and initiatives. We successfully hosted our Launch Event, which showcased our new space dedicated to music and content and young creators. The event brought together a diverse range of participants, including record labels, musicians, influencers, local community leaders, and organisations from our individual networks, fostering valuable connections within both the industry and the community. Throughout the year, we organised several live performances and showcases, providing emerging talent with opportunities to present their work to wider audiences and industry professionals. These events not only promoted young local musicians but also created an engaging environment for the public to appreciate and support their creative efforts. In addition to performance events, we held community days, educational workshops, and panel discussions, focusing on skill development and knowledge sharing within the creative industry. These events offered valuable learning opportunities for aspiring musicians, content creators, and community members, contributing to the cultural and educational enrichment of the local area. Through these initiatives, Just For The Arts Music Group CIC has played a vital role in supporting local artists, fostering community engagement, and enhancing the cultural landscape, ensuring that creative individuals from diverse backgrounds have access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.

Consultation with stakeholders

Just For The Arts Music Group C/C recognises a broad range of stakeholders who play a crucial role in the success and impact of our operations. Our key stakeholders include: -Musicians and Content Creators: Individuals who utilise our space for creative development, live performances, and content creation. -Local Community Leaders and Organisations: Representatives from local councils, community groups, and cultural organisations who collaborate with us on community-focused events and initiatives. -Industry Professionals: Including record labels, talent scouts, and influencers who participate in our showcases and networking events. -Local Residents and the General Public: Members of the local community who attend our public events and engage with our creative activities. -Educational Partners: Schools, colleges, and educational bodies that participate in our workshops and panels. Consultation with Stakeholders: Just For The Arts Music Group CIC actively engages with its stakeholders through a variety of channels.
