Company activities and impact

Through Six nursery settings, across areas of deprivation in Plymouth: Stonehouse, Devonport, Morice Town, West Park, Cattedown and Peverell we have provided Early Years Daycare Services for more than 360 children and families in areas of significant need. Through the six nurseries the CIC has been improving the quality of Early Years education, learning and development for children and improving parents understanding and engagement in their children's education, learning & development. The CIC has provided childcare placements, to support parents' engagement in their own education, training and return to work activities. Particularly parents and children whose first language is not English. The CIC has delivered education and training activities to 30 beneficiaries from local communities who are surviving the trauma of domestic abuse. The CIC provides affordable training / meeting space for other community organisations to deliver activities for the benefit of the community.

Consultation with stakeholders

The CIC stakeholders are parents whose children participate in Early years activities. Parents are regularly engaged and encouraged to participate in the development of the early years curriculum, so they can take an activity role in its development and structure. This helps to develop the home learning activities and encourage parents to take an active role in their Childs learning and development.
