The trust was formed to promote community engagement and the development of rugby league of all types and at all levels in Oldham. This would create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to access sport, health and wellbeing programmes that ordinarily they wouldn't have access to. Following the acquisition of Oldham RLFC Ltd by new owners in March 2023, the Trust is in the process of building out a structure to deliver on several key activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, the development of the club's training facilities, youth player development, women and girls teams and partnerships with local amateur clubs and youth teams. The trust has now secured significant funding for future projects and looks forward to providing an update on its activities in the future.
The stakeholders continue to be Oldham RLFC Ltd working with local schools, residents, community groups and other commercial partners. We have consultations with Oldham Council and the Rugby Football League to support our plans and explore grant funding opportunities for future activities. These will aim to improve Oldham's neighbourhoods, districts and local communities for the benefit of residents.
No remuneration was received
