The objects of the company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to enable young people to participate better in society; Provide advice, mentoring and activity resources for young people; Organise programmes of physical education and other activities; Help young people advance in life and develop their skills, confidence, capabilities and capacities. During the year the C.I.C. made contributions to Keen London a Charity that works with children with additional needs and disabilities that falls within the C.I.C. objects. One of the projects the C.I.C. Supports at Keen London is Stay and play sessions for families with SEND children providing sensory based play and a place to meet other local families. During the year the C.I.C. also supported children’s work in Tanzania by enabling street children to have a safe place in the Town of Moshi to meet and have lessons in art. The C.I.C have supplied materials and finance support for the project. The C.I.C has also supported villages in Makaa, Tanzania to enable them to continue building classrooms and the local school so that children can receive and education.
The stakeholders of the C.I.C. are the children receiving support via Keen London and the Children and volunteers receiving support in Tanzania. Meetings are held with these stakeholders to understand if the support provided is effective and needed and to discuss future support and how this should be tailored to the stakeholders needs and requirements. The feedback has been positive and in Tanzania the support has made the community as a whole want to support the CIC work and also continue to build more classrooms for the school on their own.
