COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

BASCH HELPS CIC

Company Number: 12595752 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 May 2024

Company activities and impact

Our community enterprise provides 2 community services. The first being an emergency relief package which has run for 4 consecutive years and our parent support services which was introduced in 2022. This financial year the community enterprise ran strategic transformations in the way we operate our services which included fully screening applicants to check for eligibility, introduced an AI assistant and have had to reduce our stock offering due to the level of demand for our core emergency relief service. The financial year to May 2024 was especially tough as wholesale prices had risen on average 11% per baby essential or equipment and the cost of supporting families has also gone up by 19% which includes logistical and volunteer costs. Overall we delivered just over 1800 baby boxes in the financial year with the boroughs of Brent, Hounslow, RBKC and Westminster benefitting the most and additionally supported 357 single parents with 1 to 1 visits to support their journey of recovery. All funds we're supported by generous grant funders, fundraisers and corporate support.
