OACP provides support and networking to adult social care providers in Oxfordshire. Over the past year OACP has delivered continued leadership for its community through regular virtual: - Sector networks - A jobs portal for advertising job vacancies - A weekly newsletter to reflect changing guidance and latterly weekly to keep colleagues up to date and informed. These activities benefitted our community by supporting care providers to understand the changing environment in which they delivered care services through 2023-24, whilst also promoting services, encouraging recruitment, sharing knowledge and celebrating achievement. OACP is the local support organisation for supporting digital improvement across adult social care across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire and provides guidance for enabling adult social care providers to take the first step towards digitising care records and connect to NHS services such as NHSmail, proxy access and EPR access. OACP also continued to deliver and expanded its trusted assessor service in September 2023 to support people to be discharged out of hospital appropriately and safely.
OACP runs regular weekly networks with members and wider partners working in adult social care in Oxfordshire. Specifically: - fortnightly home care provider meetings - monthly learning disability provider meetings - fortnightly care home provider meetings - monthly day time support meetings Through these networks, OACP devises its work-plan and strategy for supporting providers and promoting adult social care in Oxfordshire. Contact was mainly through virtual meetings via Teams, although we restarted face to face meetings in October 2023 .We also use our substantial mailing list to stay in contact with care providers on a weekly basis as well as offering telephone and email support.
