During this financial year the Green Skills Library continued to run the physical space in the Nicholson Centre in Maidenhead, In March 2023, we were delighted to be given a grant of £10,000 by the Leo Lion Foundation, formerly the Coins Foundation. We hired a part time manager, so that others could set time aside to plan and run courses, as well as open to the public several days a week. We started running a weekly course for Berkshire MIND Friends in Need. It has now been running continuously since that time, and every member of the group has grown immeasurably in confidence and skill over the past 18 months. In July 2023, we were very excited to be awarded a grant of £8900 from the National Lottery Community Fund with the specific aims of creating a professional website, designing more courses, and starting to use social media to extend our reach. We had funds to hire a part time social media person, and to pay a professional to design our website, and all of our online projects. Once we had achieved that milestone, we heralded the arrival of the new website with another function, this one signalling our values of “no silos” and our desire to build a healthy community.
Our stakeholders still include OnPlanet.com, and the local Eco-Action hub. We now still consult with Legal & General’s Investment Management group locally, and finished off the year creating a place based needs analysis for our most vulnerable communities in Maidenhead which will be released in 2024
The annual accounts include an amount of £1252 of directors salary (2023 Nil)
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
