2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
The income received as disclosed in the profit and loss account represents amounts generated through the activities of the organisation during the year. |
Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards have passed to the buyer (usually on dispatch of the goods), the amount of revenue can be measured reliably, it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the entity and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. |
Revenue from the provision of professional services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion when the stage of completion, costs incurred and cost to complete can be estimated reliably. The stage of completion is calculated by comparing costs incurred, mainly in relation to contractual hourly staff rates and materials, as a proportion of total costs. Where the outcome cannot be estimated reliably, revenue is recognised only to the extent of the expenses recognised that it is probable will be recovered. |

4. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
The company was under the control of the directors throughout the current year. |
Mr R Faulkner and the estate of Ms K Maddison own 100% of the issued share capital of Chrysalis Arts Limited. |
Related party transactions and balances: |
During the year the company paid rent to Chrysalis Arts Limited to the value of £8,990 (2023 - £14,960). As at 31 March 2024 the company owed Chrysalis Arts Limited £nil (2022 - nil). |
During the year the company paid Mr R Faulkner £20,880 (2023 - £37,300), Ms C Keogh £12,374 (2023 - £17,095), Ms S Trentham-Black nil (2023 - £2,177), and Dr D Haley nil (2023 - £4,382) in respect of their services rendered at normal commercial rates. |
