Company activities and impact

We produced a ballet theatre production in a local theatre. This gave the opportunity to young ballet students from the local area to experience performing in a professional setting close to their home. This cut down on travel time for the dancers and their families. We were able to offer subsidised places in our production to dancers from low-income families who might not be able to afford such experiences otherwise. We were able to provide part-time employment to 3 workers and offer valuable hands-on work experience to 2 young people. We used local small businesses for costume design and making, prop design and construction and programme design. We set our ticket prices to watch as low as we can, purely to cover costs, so local theatre and ballet fans can experience live theatre, something that is getting increasing expensive to do so. We also offered special ticket prices for families to enable children the opportunity to watch live performances at a lower cost.
